SEGA has released a dev diary for its upcoming Alien game, Alien: Isolation

An opinion piece on the best Alien games. From arcade Alien vs Predator action to a terrifying Xenomorph stalker, these are the best Alien video games starring Ridley Scott’s chestbursting, acid-blooded nightmare.
Aliens Fireteam Elite was my GotY in 2021, single player was kinda bad but playing that game 3 player with friends was so good and really challenging on higher difficulties
Massive shout out to Aliens Vs predator 2 (2001), a dialup lag filled fun mess in multiplayer and 3 great campaigns

Alien Isolation Grand Mother VR is an all new virtual reality experience for Creative Assembly’s best ever horror game.
I played through most of the PS4 version of the game but stopped because another game came out. I bought it last year for PC with the intention of using the VR mod but haven't gotten around to setting it up. I am glad I waited.
Great game, even better in VR. A little drawn out by the end, but I hope we see CA do something a little different with the sequel.
Sweet. I also rebought this game on Steam for the purpose of VR. I'll have to give it another shot w full immersive controls. I had only tried it out briefly before.
It's funny this was never officially released at retail as a VR game, bc it feels so perfect for it!

The Alien franchise has had a long history in video games, but few games have come quite as close to being perfect as Alien: Isolation.
I just wish that for once some developer would be able to capture what was Aliens and put it into video game format. While I like the idea of survival horror set in the Alien franchise, this just comes off to me as Amnesia in space.
While not necessarily a bad thing in its own right, I'm certain anyone who has seen Aliens wants to partake in a squad of Xeno killing, smart mouthed, name taking marines. Maybe I'm asking for to much in this day and age of keeping it safe, but it doesn't seem like it would be remotely difficult to do at all. Oh well, here's to hoping the game is good at least.
I never knew i could be so hype for an aliens game
I don't really see how a survival horror game with one Alien can really carry an entire game.
How many times can you survive an encounter with the Alien before it just starts to get a little stupid.
So what, you just keep running into the Alien throughout the game, and have to hide until it goes away? I just don't see how that can be interesting for an entire game.
I hope I'm wrong, and I'm sure there are other things going on that we don't know about yet, but first glance makes me wonder how I can stay interested in this.
Even the best survival horror games in existence give you plenty of enemies to avoid or fight.
