IGN - Smaller and more powerful than a next-gen console and developed in collaboration with Valve.

Welcome to episode 275 of Heroes of Handheld! This week, we discuss: Jedi: Fallen Order The upcoming Pokemon Direct CES 2020 and the Alienware Switch lookalike The Nintendo Switch Pro incoming?
Sorry to hurt your Nintendo blind fan feelings ,but Nintendo actually stole the Switch's design from the Wikipad and other Handhelds and Android controller grips.

The Alienware Concept UFO stuffs a Windows 10 PC into an amazingly portable package
It’s far from a Switch killer. People will always buy Nintendo based on brand loyalty and for their amazing exclusives.
"Switch Killer" lol
People buy the switch for Nintendo's exclusives, so unless they can suddenly hault Nintendo from making games it's really not even gonna affect the Switch in the least. That said the product does look dope an i'd love to get one for emulation aswell as PC games.
lol when someone says its a "(insert game/device) killer" it will always end in failure
That is what I call a sensationalist title.
The UFO is not even a real product, let alone a Switch killer.... It's just a concept, one of many that Dell has brought to the CES 2020. It might eventually go into production if they find a market for it. But as many other concepts it might as well just stay a concept.

Watch yourself get dumped on in better resolution than ever with these best gaming monitors for your PC in 2019.
Hoping it under $600. But i highly doubt it as it's Alienware.
Waiting for a price. That smaller and more powerful won't matter much if it's not affordable.
if the price is right i will pick this baby up, I'm not a PC gamer but this is the Second steam box I've seen looks good.. i don't like the Controller tho i hope i can use my PS4 controller with it. if i can i will be a PC gamer =))
One thing that does concern me is that i hope Steam machines don't go the way of Phones.
Meaning.. 2 yrs from now.. first gen machines won't run certain games and all that nonsense even tho i feel that coming
I don't even know how this is going to work with so many machines with different specs. I thought the whole reason they're making a stream box was to compete in the console market. This kinda defeats the purpose. I can't see console gamers being swayed because don't want to have to keep upgrading play latest games. And I don't see pc gamers being swayed either. They can just keep gaming on their current set up.
First, for those people that already have a custom PC equivalent to 1 of the 13 versions of the Steam Machine being released you will be able to download the SteamOS software for free so you don't have to actually buy one if you want to run the SteamOS. Second, I suspect games that run on the SteamOS will scale to whatever version of Steam Machine you have purchased. This means Steam Machine #1 will have slightly better graphics whereas Steam Machine #13 will totally blow everyone away with its gaming goodness. Third, the price points that have been announced for the actual hardware is $500 for the least expensive and $6000 for the most expensive. Fourth, Gabe made comments about comparing X-Box users to Steam and it fell flat as far as I'm concerned. I understand why he did it, but to me he sounded stupid. Your comparing something that is free and been working for over 10 years compared to something you pay for that has been around less time than Steam. In addition to that you can't just compare the X-Box because that is 1 of 3 main competitors. You also have to take into account Sony PS3/4, Microsoft 360/XB1, and Wii-U sales.
