Stop making so many rally games and make more tuner and road track games like grid

4logpc4427d ago

So many? We just got grid 2. I'd rather have a new dirt than grid right now.

Yi-Long4427d ago

Really REALLY hope Codemasters will now really put the focus back on the RALLY aspect, instead of all the 'Xtreme' crap that was in the last 2 DIRT games.

I want LONG rally tracks, in a huge variety of amazing environments, in different weather- and time-settings.

Whenever the DIRT games did rally, it was awesome, but the tracks were just far too few and far too short.

Rallisport Challenge 2 is still the very best rally game to this date.

Considering they are working on multiple rally titles, I'm also hoping for a top-down rally game, as a digital download.

@Yi-Long
No, Richard Burns Rally is the very best rally game to this date.

Dirt was far better than Grid IMO. I'm not a fan of Codemasters, but I did really like the quality of Dirt as compared to their other games. Grid 2 feels cheap and needing in just about all areas.

CocoWolfie4427d ago

theyre good at it so why change :p they tried theyre hand at fps and.. if theyre the best racing devs out there then so be it!

FITgamer4427d ago

For me the last really good Rally game was Colin McRae Rally 2005. Hopefully they make something on that level.

urwifeminder4427d ago (Edited 4427d ago )

Yeah skipped grid 2 no in car view if these rally games do the same good bye poor masters of code.

Rallisport Challenge 2 was the king

desertpunk864427d ago

hell yea dirt 3 is one of my favorite racers of last gen.

TheShow174427d ago

Dirt 3 was awesome and probably my favorite racing game. I enjoyed the shorter races (racing games are strenuous on my eyes, so I enjoy my races to be less than 5 min), the variety of vehicles and races, gymkhana was sweet and the graphics and physics were great. I'd love to see what they can do on the PS4.

EA SPORTS™ WRC - Development Update

An update on EA SPORTS™ WRC.

Dear Rally Community,

Every great journey eventually finds its finish line, and today, we announce that we've reached the end of the road working on WRC.

Knushwood Butt295d ago

'It marked the first time the studio had used the license in 18 years since 2022’s Colin McRae Rally 3.'

Can you not get AI to do proofreading?

TheColbertinator295d ago

Weird article written by a bot.

In any case I knew EA would ruin Codemasters.

badboyz09294d ago (Edited 294d ago )

Codemasters will likely close soon😞

Here’s the deal with this bullsh*t, and this is the single reason I f*cking hate digital, this wouldn’t be so much an issue if these people would give an announcement before they pull their games so people have a chance to get them before they’re gone. I mean, how hard is that to do?

Like, I prefer digital for the convenience of it and making me less of a hoarder, but stuff like this can drive me up the wall and I’m aware this also happens with physical games, but you can still acquire a game from eBay, though all scalped to hell, whereas digital you’re SOL… unless you have a PC.

spicelicka338d ago

Not to mention they also replace old base games with "bundles" back at full price. Some of the old and shittiest COD games are still full price on digital stores.

phatak338d ago (Edited 338d ago )

yup everything you said is correct, but with digital you can also acquire it lol thanks to piracy, thats what made me a pirate . Spec ops the line got delisted last year and I just pirated it and never looked back, unfortunately these bigger publishers dont care about older games so dont even give a reminder, so if they dont even care about their own older games, why should I help them with their new games, ill pirate those as well. GOG is the best, you dont even need to pirate those, the games literally dont have any drm, and you can keep the files permanently too.

Michiel1989338d ago

the reason why i hate digital is because in 20 years when the servers go down, you can't play single player games anymore because shitty fucking companies want you to login to some arbitrary service to pad the numbers.

When a company like GoG does better than a titan like Sony, you know how terrible the state of gaming is.

Vits338d ago

Technically you are not wrong, only forgot to add Rights Management after the "digital".

CantThinkOfAUsername338d ago

These games had exactly 0 players. If you haven't played any of them by now you really didn't care in the slightest. Suddenly you're dying to play one of these classic turds? Sail to cs.rin.ru.

MrWood338d ago

Your right, if you click on the article vs the clickbait picture showing new and modern games, they are all old games I’ve never even heard of.

Zeke68338d ago

If you never heard of any of these games, are you even a gamer? ;)

Report: F1 24 Cover Datamined From F1 23 Files as Website Surfaces

The F1 24 announcement seems imminent, as the Champions Edition cover and details have surfaced in F1 23's game files after the latest patch.

Yi-Long723d ago

To Sony, and so many other companies in this industry, the short-term satisfaction and happiness of their shareholders means so much more to them than their employees, their products, and their customers.

Yi-Long723d ago

Apologies, don't know how the above comment ended up here while it clearly should have gone to other article about the Sony lay-offs. Please delete.
