incredible engine?! it look like fear 2 and yet fear 2 had better lightning effects

already seen better source games already IMO.
Source is a great engine that runs on almost anything and looks good while doing it. tho this game dont look that great IMO.

Yeah. It's Unity. Which is pretty much the entire reason it's impressive, because this whole theme is about how far things have come along. I'm not familiar with the game, but this is definitely Unity.

The polygons are really low so I know it's not a next gen engine and it's missing things like global illumination, tessellation, light and shadow effects not to mention no partical physics or barely any physics for that matter!

It looks like Source to me too. Also, the graphics do not look impressive one single bit.

Something about the lighting that doesn't look natural. Not impressed, but it still looks good for what it is.

It was planned for release on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows platforms, with the game being built using Epic Games' Unreal Engine software. IM is being developed using the Unity game engine.

Incredible graphics have more to do with design and art direction than with technicality. This just looks like any generic shooter that could have been released in the past 5 years. Nothing to see here.

An engine is nothing without art direction to fuel it.

It looks like it's partly aping the Doom 3 visual style , except, for that exact reason, the aping of a 9 year old game in more sober PC style, it's unlikely to be ID Tech 4.

Has to be quite an old PC intended engine, not to forget old conceptually too.

It's Unity, and if you know what Unity is...It is a piece of crap engine, which is why this is impressive. Unity games look nowhere near as good as this does, and yet they managed to max out the potential of it.

I'm gonna say this is a mobile engine. Because of lack of volumetric effects and simplistic environmental damage, mostly.

Oh - to the people downscoring because it's supposedly so impressive to do this in Unity, that's not the reason that we're not impressed.

The reason is that the video states 'Incredible Graphics' as if it's always an objective fact in its own right, rather than being 'Incredible Graphics For The Engine'.

And the choices put in the poll suggest that we're supposed to think that this is right up there with the best graphics on the market right now. Which is ludicrous. There are games almost 10 years old that have a similar quality of graphics.

Those graphics are incredib.....ly terrible. The lighting is pre 2008 if that. You want to see how far lighting has come? Watch videos of crysis 3 or hell look at most of the lighting on splinter cell black list. Batman Arkham Origins is a good one too.

next gen games like: bf4, killzone, ryse... blows this away.

It is the Unity engine. Though if my memory is not betraying me, that game's development started on the Unreal Engine.

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.

Wuchang is great. Nine Sols didn’t have a physical copy so I never played it but I’ve heard good things so I will check it out. I stopped playing sports games many years ago when before the card dlc’s or whatever they’re called.
