im a ps3 owner and i just recently got into the whole fps with cod4 ut3 rfom and im looking forward to buying a lot more fps games i didn't think it would be so much fun shooting people.

but now i see myself less interested with rpg playing these short fps games don't have the time for super long rpg games these days.

take your time with killzone2, what i have seen today i can only imagine how the final product will look like consdring u still have like 10 months to work on the game......i just hope u delvier some big boss fights just like crysis, and u get to be in thoes flying things and be shooting just like in the trailers.....still the best fps that is work in progess i have seen so far. cod5 will need something really special to compete with this if it is coming out next year as well.

im kinda glad they pushed killzone 2 into 09 cuz now all the games are more spread out and after 08 we dont have to wonder if sony has any other good games to come out cuz we kno for a fact they do. Sont pretty much planned out 08 and 09 already

Come to think of it, the only exclusive FPS xbox360 had was Halo3 and thats about it, the rest fps are all multiplatform, while PS3 has resistance and killzone as a franchise both of them are no where near there end and both of them look stunning so far. Sony has a lot of potential to take over the hardcore fps fans.

For the last damn time, Killzone 2 was not delayed. Seb even said "sorry folks, as before, please take any release dates, or months with a grain of salt ... If we haven't announced it, it is not gospel.".

i been reading that allot now from sony fans.. " it's ok it got delayed there are allot of other games to play" or " i don't need the gta4 dlc even though it might be the game of the year, i'll be on other games by the time the dlc comes out.. you guy's are just too funny. so who will be next for the 09 list? i say lbp will be next.. wait beyond, lmfao.. i like that..

i wouldnt know the 09 line up isnt out for the 360 yet. but i am waiting for ng2, fable 2, banjo, gears2, too human, gta4 dlc, and some arcade games. 08's line up might not be as strong as ps3 but it's not as slopy as ps3's 07 line up..

Don't matter how much FPS PS3 have, it will never be labeled as the FPS only console, because it has some great FPS indeed, but the block buster games are RPGs like FF, Action games like GTA, GOW, SOTC and MGS, and racing games like Gran Turismo, only now it's having its FPS fix.

FPS Console was a designation for XB, because the major tittles are all FPS (Halo, Halo and... Well, Halo). It doesn't mean that XB had only FPS, or its FPSs were better than anything else, it was just the games (or game) what everybody with or without the console know that the console indeed have, that is a FPS. You can't even apply the term for X360, because the most representative games are Halo and Gears which is a TPS, so you can, at best, call it a shooter console, still it doesn't mean it has only shooters (Forza and Ninja Gaiden are well know samples of non-FPS and block buster games)

PS3, and PS brand at all, will never be recognized as FPS console, in such a pejorative way as limited to one genre console (be it FPS or not), because each place you go, the most representative PS game is from one genre (in Japan it's FF, in Europe it's GT, PES, Casual and Action, depending on the public, in US is Action tittles), and almost never it is a FPS.

Even if you go by the numbers, you should not get a clear answer. The biggest seller on a PS console was GTA SA, but the BRAND that sold more games at all, in all PS consoles, is Gran Turismo if I remember right, and if you add up everything by the genre (which I never did, and don't pretend to, but feel free to try and possively prove me wrong) I believe Action games will be the most sold.

This gen hasn't been the best for games, last gen consoles are still out there and now there's been talk of the PS6 and Xbox Two for a year or so. Many games this gen will be ported to next gen and the cycle will continue. The re-release of the Neo Geo AES+, games on cartridge for £70 ($95), gaming is going back in time. Gaming has gone pricing mad with the high cost of games, consoles and controllers. The men and women at the top are clueless.

I miss the first three generations of PlayStation. The way they turned PS3 around, we knew they meant business. We were all worried for a bit there around launch. Eventually from 2008 they started shifting slowly. But since Yoshida was fired, it's never been the same. Still enjoy my PS5 daily. I got a backlog dating back to PS2 lol So I'm fine but new games aren't as appealing anymore.

It seems like we were thrown on to the worst timeline possible where everything is too expensive and the wrong people were put in positions that makes the world a shitty place. We could have had Shu as the head of PS but we got the shitty alternative. Same goes for everyone in power around the world. Doesn’t matter the company or country the majority of us got the shitty picks and the world is declining like never before. I do think PS can come out of this because of their studios, talent and IP but they need someone more in touch with gamers leading things like Shu was. They’re still the best place for console gaming imo but it could be much better than it is especially without the massive live service failures. The rest of the world I have a lot less hope for right now. Hopefully the pendulum swings back towards the good ole days but I’m preparing for the worst.

There's another guy who recently "retired" as CEO of another large gaming company, after doing a dismantling job as lead for well over a decade.

seems legit, the business man, fires the one who has ideas to move the business forward.

Jim Ryan is the reason why we are entering year 6 since the PS5 launch and many of us don't feel like the PS5 has gotten started as yet.

I hope going forward, we will see a return to form.
