Discover 10 timeless video games from the past that remain absolutely playable today. From Chrono Trigger to DOOM, these classics have aged like fine wine!
Hot damn that's a good list. The only one i never played is AOE2 and i never finshed Chrono Trigger but it was damn good.
Speaking of what's old but holds up amazingly well and plays like a dream.. i played Symphony of the Night for the first time in 2019.. yep that's right. It became one of my favourite games of all time that i replay almost every year. I couldn't believe how good it was. That is almost impossible for me with newer games let alone older ones. Truly a special gem.
The only one I’d disagree with is doom. It shows its age badly I think. After 5 minutes of play these days you put it down.

Half-Life 3 may not be too far away from release, as the game suspected to be the third entry in the series has entered the optimization phase.
That one episode of Billy & Mandy where the very fabric of reality was destroyed when Mandy smiled. That's what'll happen when Valve finally counts to 3.
Is this kinda like when it was supposed to be at the 2024 TGAs?

Fanatical has launched its new Explosive bundle, and this one can help you save big on a collection of Steam Deck-compatible titles.
I still find myself going back to some of these games even now. I guess it’s partly nostalgia, but also they just feel more engaging in a way a lot of modern games don’t. Back when these came out, they had something special, and it made you want to spend hours figuring things out, improving, and coming back for more. With many newer releases, I lose interest pretty quickly. They look great and have bigger budgets, but they often don’t hold attention for long. Even when I try something different like occasional online casino games, usually picking something through sites like https://somagyarkaszinok.co... because they have well-structured reviews and clear explanations, it’s still just short-term entertainment. It gets repetitive fast and doesn’t really compare to the depth or lasting appeal of older PC games. It just feels like those older titles had more staying power, while a lot of modern stuff doesn’t stick the same way.
