@ cloud - it's on DS, but 3DS is Backwards compatible so technically yes, it is on 3DS.

Bravely Default will arrive soon for 3DS.

Tales of Xillia and Ni no Kuni came out very recently for PS3.

Check 'em out.

maximus19854519d ago

tales of xilia was ok but the betrayals were annoying after awhile. nino kuni was ok but the story was not mature enough for my taste.

Sounds more like you might just not like RPGs anymore.

Better yet, buy a Vita! it has the awesome Ys: Memories of Celceta and access to PS1 and PSP RPGs.

Snookies124522d ago

Most of the Vita's RPGs are still in Japan... They're not localizing them, and that's why there is a distinct lack of RPG goodness for the Vita right now. Though yes, Ys is a great game.

Buy a supercard DSTWO online. You can play snes, gba, ds, sega genesis, Nintendo, and other roms on your ds or 3ds. I've been rocking mine for almost 5 years and I use it every day.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 3 please

I love the Art style & color pallet of almost every GBA game.

Bright & vibrant, but with detail and unique character.

Golden Sun FTW!!! This game reminds me the classic 16-bit snes jrpg. I think its time for Camelot to give us a nice 3DS jrpg and to leave Mario Golf/Tennis games for other developer....

Kevlar0094522d ago

The 1st one was great, I enjoyed the 2nd even more, and the third was disappointing. They should've stuck with the 2D hand drawn style instead of the 3D style imo, the original style felt more mature visually and made for better looking environments (the DS just wasn't strong enough). Also didn't help it was super easy, the out of battle PP gain was set too high. To me it was an amateur effort far below its predecessors.

The series had a great blend of classic jrpg battle/item system and Zelda dungeon exploration. The music is top notch and I fell in love with the world. I can play "The Lost Age" again and again, it's just one of those games to me

Geobros4522d ago

I totally agree with your post. When i was speaking for Golden Sun i was meaning the GBA games, the third one i didn't like it. I would like to see a 2D Golden Sun for the 3DS like Zelda ALBW style.

Final Fantasy Tactics advanced was crazy good, spent about 500+ hours on that bad boy.

Blues Journey is the game I'd like to see.

Popsicle24d ago

Pre-ordered mine a few days ago. Love this concept and hope there are more games announced. I can’t justify paying the prices for games that collectors are asking for. It’s the primary reason I own almost every console except the Neo Geo.

Agent7524d ago

I've pre ordered one here in the UK, no games though, as I'll move it on for a higher price. The white model looks awesome, but as expected, the price is too high. We'll probably see more of those all in one cartridges from China containing every AES game. In the UK, AES+ game at £70 ($95) is better than eye watering prices for the originals, but these games are so old and I can honestly say SNK didn't release many classics. The Metal Slug series is the only series I rate, there were just too many Street Fighter clones and not enough scrolling fighting games. Overall, the Neo Geo was poor for all genres apart from one on one fighters. Videos on YouTube asking for games from that console generation to be ported to the AES+, but who'd want to pay £70 for Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter 2? There's a lot of SNK collections out there, the best being Metal Slug Anthology on the PlayStation 2. The Street Fighter Anniversary Collection on the Switch contains 12 games for around £30, instead of £840 if released on the AES+. For collectors, the AES+ is the best news since sliced bread. Are there enough SNK fans out there? Nowhere near. Those £70 cartridges will soon start creeping up in price and it'll be a re-run of the original console.

I always wanted one in the 90's but couldn't afford it. Now i can but i think if i get one it will be collecting dust fast. It's a nostalgia thing i guess.
