Join Vault of the Gameverse on their new adventure in Far Cry 3 as they start an all new game ready to go for 100% completion in the beautiful huge open world full of a ridiculous amount of content.
The new trailer for the free 60 FPS update is here.
I'm happy with Part 3 & Blood Dragon getting the 60FPS treatment. I'll eventually try Primal, maybe this weekend.

Following a series of repetitive games, a formulaic approach, and a disappointing last entry, the Far Cry series has been run into the ground.
The trouble with most criticisms of this franchise is that they insist Far Cry 3 was the best game, but the things they claim to hate about the franchise are all the elements that 3 introduced.
Ubisoft gets a lot of hate for their content filling of maps. Personally I enjoy the mechanic when i play an open world game I like revealing hte entire map and doing all the side mission stuff before i go into main missions. Far Cry and the RPG AC maps where a joy to play.
Far Cry 2 was soo unique ... it was ahead of its time and is often misunderstood (thank you Clint Hocking, can't wait for his next game Assassins Creed Hexe)
(yes, FC2 was a departure from from FC1, so in strictest sense, Crysis 1 & 3 are the truer successors)
I actually enjoyed Far Cry 5 and New Dawn. Far Cry 6 was a joke. It was a step backwards in every way. That was probably the worst Far Cry I have ever played.

Far Cry 3, an open-world masterpiece that redefined the series. Gameplay and storyline makes it a timeless classic that still inspires today.
It's gotta be Far Cry 2 for me, the feeling of that game I'm still yet to find again, just everything about it, I'd kill for a remaster, I'd even be happy with just a bump in resolution and frame rate, occasionally go back to it, think I'm gunna have to do just that now 😂
It had so much promise, but they f***ed it up midway through the game once you got to the second island.
SPOILERS AHEAD.
The gameplay was amazing, the graphics, LOADS of things to do. But they fooled us into thinking Vaas was the main villain, only to have him killed half way through the game in such a retarded way.
And then we're left with some snoozefest of a generic villain, and then the HORRID choices at the very end. The game rose rapidly throughout the first 10 hours, then plummeted to an abyss sadly.
One of the best games i ever played. I do agree with BiggCman though, (Spoiler) Vaas should of been the main villain that guy was possibly one of the best villains of all time. I am really hoping Far Cry 4 somehow brings him back, maybe a prequel to how Vaas got on the island etc. I cannot wait for Far cry 4 been craving a new one after i beat 3 like 15 times lol.
Needs more variety. There was a lot of repetition within each task making 100% completion too much like a chore. Maybe more RPG elements next time.
I thoroughly enjoyed the single player, but I thought the co-op was AWFUL. The 4 most stereotypical characters possible, and the intense lag + bad hit detection made things unbearable for me. Also, I hated how you couldn't continue your progress and just had to join random chapters.
Didn't try multiplayer, as when I finally got around to beating co-op, I was really burned out.
Needless to say, this game is still ONE of my game of the generation.
Offtopic: DAT Liza Snow...!
Far Cry 3 was almost perfect, but i agree with everyone else that the story fell off big time after Vass was killed. That seemed like that should have been the end of the game. The other villians were so unimportnant I couldn't understand why Jason Brody felt the need to pursue them. The only parts of the game I enjoyed after Vass died was when he would go see that women who was queen of the island. I'm hoping FC4 has a more polished well rounded story line from start to finish. FC3 started strong but just couldn't hold on to it.
