XMNR: Since Minecraft: Playstation 3 Edition was released, users have reported that the game is corrupting their saves despite two patches released since launch. 4J Studios has taken a holiday break which means that a patch to address the save corrupting issue will not be address until sometime after the new year. A reader contacted this Examiner on Thursday about how to avoid the show stopping glitch and so we thought it best to share with everyone else as well.

I backup as much as possible. Losing a Minecraft world is like death. I lost six months of work on Pocket Edition and three months of work on PC.

from testing i did after losing my first save i figured out its because it takes a few seconds for the game to fully save
so if you quit save and the save icon in the corner is going and if you load another save or do anything else it wont completely save and will get corrupted
and if your like me who is in a hurry most of the time you can still corrupt it even if you save whit out quitting i saved the game once and then quickly hit ps button to go back to xmb and save got corrupted
save whichever way you want regular save or or quit save but make sure you wait till the save icon is completely gone before you do anything
I see Corrupted saved files are the new trend.
I honestly don't understand this trend of corrupted saves. You wanna know why? Because I have PS+ that's why. My PS3 and Vita auto backup my saves to the cloud, download patches, games and sync my trophies all between the hours of 4-6 am. And I get sweet free games that didn't come out years ago as an added bonus.
