But i agree compared to other titles this is not graphically overwhelming...

However what they explain they are doing in gameplay more than compensates it for me. The big battles sounds awesome and i see the squad mechanics more clearly now with dynamic objectives to keep the game tight and rewarding teamwork.

This whole squad objectives sounds awesome, me has to buy the game.

Edit: Why the hell are people complaining about the graphics? They have 6 months until the game hits shelves, just relax. I also think we should bear in mind that the game will include multi player with up to 60 players and that isn't easy task.

OMG the game looks amazing and the video isn't even in HD, I can't wait to see more of this game just six more months to go. This month is HAZE ECHOCHROME, WIPEOUT HD, next month is MGS4, September is SOCOM, October is LPB, and November is R:FOM 2. It feels good to be a PS3 owner right now, Killzone looks amazing and it's only going to get better and I can't wait to play it in February.

Even after the guy said this is a work in progress and says they haven't added in all of the stuff yet people still complain.

What they showed for the gameplay looks awesome though and I'm sure at least for single player its going to look better then Ratchet, its Insomniac after all.

For those who are complaining about the graphics, needs to realize this was a multiplayer game footage. The footage from singleplayer wasn't shown, secondly the video was in really poor quality. Hopefully this game will look jaw dropping.

Lol at people trying to complain about graphics from a low-res video where you can't see squat. Lol at the crappy vid quality where Ted Price's voice somehow became 10X deeper than normal. Anyway, it looks like they are implementing a similar "scoring" system as CoD 4 to 8-player co-op which is good. More games could learn a thing or to about multiplayer from CoD 4 (well, except for the poor customer treatment from IW and the laggy matches).

For showing multiplayer, the graphics seem pretty detailed and the gameplay frantic.

As for the baseless comments by the xbox fanboys, its hard to respond without feeling a little sorry for them. I mean, if my best and only game were still 6 months away, I'd be bitter too. Especially seeing the quality titles hitting the PS3 between now and November.

This is 1 of the big title's the ps3 only owner's are saying is a AAA title. OMG if people are waiting for this to save the ps3 lack luster game's library.

Wow this is just not what I was expecting and kind of has me even afraid of seeing gears now! It's still 6 months away so theres plenty of time for improvement I hope! What gets me is that you would think the game be much further along but maybe they have plans to really beef it up for the next 6 months!

regardless of video quality the poly counts look really low on everything. I'm sure they are showing footage of the multiplayer build built for testers where mechanics are more important. In terms of the scoring system, HUD, and pacing it looks like something that can get really competitive.

1. the video was sh*tty, below SD quality. the only thing i could make out in the vid clearly were pixels

2. the game is still roughly 6 months away from release. final polishing on any game doesn't happen until those last 3 months, when the gameplay bugs have been worked out, and they can fine tune the visuals

3. it was multi-player gameplay. no story, or campaign mode stuff here. the first Resistance had some excellent set-pieces, and extremely intense moments in the single player campaign.

4. it's INSOMNIAC, their worst games are still better than most average devs BEST.

calm down, you judgmental bastards, and, at the least, wait for some HD video, or better yet, some actual hands on time with the game.

how anybody can judge something, positively, or negatively, based off of a demo, or even someone else's word, is beyond me. if you're going to judge, at least wait for more data and information than a sh*tty, low quality, horribly pixelated vid off the internet of a product that is still 6 months away from release.

Anyone who makes any judgment about the graphics is an idiot. With that video quality PS1 and PS4 games would be indistinguishable.

It still looks pretty good. Not going to make any full-on judgements until I see a better vid of course. But it's great to be a PS3 gamer. I'd of gotten a 360 if it wasn't for all these games coming out. That, and the fact that I had to send my PS3 in for repair, $150. And also I don't have the money to pay 5 bucks a month for XBL. Maybe XMas, or next year.

p.s. not saying I'm not getting a 360 because the PS3 has better games, but because I can't afford a 360 since I'd rather get games I've been psyched for since their announcement.

Have you seen the landscape?, trees etc, they looked real, even with it being crap video quality, it looks on par with Alan Wake imo.

I got nothing against Gears of War 2 in fact I'm looking forward to playing it on my PC but you can't compare a game like that to something as advanced and realistic as Resistance 2.

I like how everyone just keeps on repeating that it doesnt matter the video quality is bad. I agree but lets not repeat ourselves here, lets talk about some of the other stuff. I noticed someone earlier wrote about there doesnt seem to be much stoppping people from still just sending in half their squads to take an objective and half to defend. I think they will enforce this by making sure you do focus on your objectives to level up other wise you cant get xp.

What i am wondering is what if one of your squad sucks but the rest are good. Can you finish up your objectives and have another squad help out the weak one if their rival squad is just too badass for them?

Nonetheless, no matter how crappy this video looks, and how some people keep on making them look inferior to what they believe are better titles, R2 would still be a hit (especially for the early PS3 owners). Six months of more working time tells me that this sequel has no way to go but up. From the way it looks now, it may have exceeded the first title already.

The graphics did look dull tbh, I was looking forward to this game but I may not get it. The gameplay doesn't look that amazing or fun by the looks of it, but I will wait until the final version of the game to decide whether it looks great and plays great.
