Worldwide should be interesting, to say the least. Since EU had the GTAIV bundle and OUTSIDE the US seems to HEAVILY favor the PS brand. W/o even seeing the numbers, PS3 worldwide won the GTAIV battle. If they SMOKED the 360 like that in US....... MSFT has to be NERVOUS knowing the streak of games SONY has coming out consecutively.

WOOO.....The PS3 outsold the 360 by over 25,000 units!!! That is unbelievable... Even after MS had the DLC and all, they still couldn't sell even close to the PS3

or does anyone else notice the Sony still doesn't even have the 80GB version out, and THEY STILL OUTSOLD THE XBOX 360. They are missing theyr'e supreme console and is still winning in hardwar sales. Let me put it like this, if Microsoft no longer had the Premium and Elite, and only had the Arcade, and was still outselling the PS3, then that would be massive with both the 40 and 80GB on the market!!!!! Dude imagine when they have a full stock of PS3's with one of the most anticipated titles of the year ( Metal Gear Solid 4 Babyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!) packed in with the PS3, then Microsoft will truly be destroyed!!!

the hardware sales seem way off....the Wii sells 398,000 in one week, while the 360 and PS3 don't even do that combined?...all with the release of GTAIV?...

ps3 outsold the xbox in hardware, but look at the real picture the software sales is were this war will be won. So really they are all big winners.

and in NA, truly a lot of people wanted this game more on PS3 considering how many consoles it moved in NA. I think we will see a monthly lead worldwide close to 100,000. As expected GTA4 sold more games in NA but moved more PS3 consoles. Considering the rest of the world I would say PS3 version either ties 360 version or passes it. Lets see what the next coming weeks show.

more HW sales for PS3 and more SW sales for the x360 with a ratio of 3:2 and not 2:1 as MS were claiming. Overall there will be more HW sales for the PS3 and the SW sales will be neck and neck for GTA4 when you factor in Europe and Japan.I still expect the x360 to win but it won't be much. It is pretty safe to say that the ratio will be much less than 3:2 in favor of the x360 overall as i have predicted earlier.

pos3 2:1 ration, I guess he wasn't lieing because they are. this goes to show ppl at ms know their sh!t.but these #s re speculative. If the rumor holds true ps3 did ok as well as the 360, but like i said before revenue for companies like ms and sony is generated thru software sells.

they still have to get europe's sales. with xbox basically dead in europe, expect PS3 GTA4 to pass 360 GTA.

didnt australian retailers say that PS3 GTA preorders was outselling 360 GTA with 3:1 ratio? if thats the case, PS3 has a good chance of selling more GTA4!!!!

We all know GTA4 will move more PS3 consoles than the 360. Now, software sales will overcome on the 360 at least in NA...

I do not even acknowledge the wii as a system but mario cart, wii sports, super smash brothers and wii play sold in very large numbers. That machine that i have absolutely no interest in is selling more software and hardware than ps3 and 360 its ridiculous. If the wii keeps up at this rate that means Nintendo's next system is going to be extremely powerful and thats scary.

oh well i still hate 360 more than anything else since the first nintendo but its good to know that at least the next consoles all will be true next generation.

Let's assume that there are 10 people that have 360's and 5 with PS3's. If 3 PS3 owners bought GTA, and 5 360 owners bought it, a higher percentage of PS3 owners would've purchased the game, but it doesn't change the fact that more 360 copies were sold, period.

All the people who are saying that the 360 install base is larger than the PS3 in NA need to take all the boxes that went RRoD without getting fixed. Some people even bought 3 360's so I don't see the need to buy 3 of the same games.
