I like the fact that it'll have online play. That's a big plus.

nice one nintendo.. -_-" I never could have imagined luigi could ALSO become a doctor... just wow

KonsoruMasuta4525d ago

Make you wonder, huh? Between saving the kingdom, playing tennis, karts racing, and being doctors; how do they find time to actually do their jobs a plumbers?

SilentNegotiator4525d ago (Edited 4525d ago )

Their mafia-run union landed a Mushroom Kingdom government contract, thanks to Mario sleeping with the princess; they have free time to get their doctorates.

They do like to recycle their ideas, don't they?

When's the last time Nintendo had a new IP worth something? I'm honestly asking as I don't have a Wii or Wii U but it seems like they've just had mario, super smash, zelda and metroid forever now.

Nintendo has been rehashing ideas for 20 years. They make amazing games, but I want them to try something completely new and fresh. A new IP, with a completely new gameplay style, completely new art style, etc. I want to see something unlike anything they've ever done before. Unfortunately that will likely never happen.

R00bot4525d ago

Uh, they actually make heaps of new IP (last story, xenoblade, etc.) but most of the new IP they do make doesn't sell as well as the already established games in Japan, so they don't localise them to the west.

porkChop4525d ago

Nintendo didn't make any of those dude. All they did was publish them. We're talking about Nintendo's internal development teams. First party games, not second party.

Nintendo did make Xenoblade. That is Monolith Soft, which is owned and operated by Nintendo. Monolith Soft works on core Nintendo titles like Zelda and Mario as well.

zero_gamer4525d ago

Does it really bother you if the game has Luigi in it? What if they make a new IP but with the same gameplay as this, would you buy it? Does it really make that much of a difference?

- Pandora's Tower
- Xenoblade
- HarmoKnight
- Sakurai Samurai
- The Last Story
- Dillion's Rolling Western

Dillon's Rolling Western, Pushmo, Steel Diver, Xenoblade, Last Story and more.... you just need to open up your mind a bit and try some less-heard-of games....

The way I see it is Nintendo will only make new IPs when other game genres are being made. Ever try other platformers they were making in the 80s and 90s??? Try Ice Climbers. For whatever reason, Nintendo felt as though they needed to completely separate it from Mario and give controls that didn't work quite as well. I think this is the reason why they keep their franchises reused over and over. Why make another platformer with a new character? Mario works so well. Now, when new genres are made, sure, create new characters. And they do this with games like Pushmo. Just my opinion really, but it makes sense.
