"With the rise in Minecraft’s popularity, there have been a rising number of games that focus on open word exploration and crafting, with a focus on low-resolution ‘pixel’ graphics. Two such games that have been rising in popularity are Starbound and Terraria, both of which are 2D sandbox games that focus on similar concepts. Starbound, developed by Chucklefish Ltd, is based in a sci-fi universe, where players can take the role of one of several races as they fly their ship from planet to planet, seeking refuge from an unfortunate fate."
505 Games has announced update 1.4.5 for Terraria is now available; features crossover content from Palworld and Dead Cells.

Seven titles are set to leave Xbox Game Pass on January 31, including Citizen Sleeper 2, Starbound, and Orcs Must Die Deathtrap.
I’ll finish citizen sleeper 1 tonight. I guess if I plow through I may be able to finish part 2 before it leaves!

Re-Logic: "August was quite an eventful month for Team Terraria. We are well into the final push for Terraria 1.4.5 (for real, more on that below), and tickets are flying through the system. Several members of the team were also able to get together in person this month for the first time in many years - and for the first time ever with some folks. We have also been able to take care of a lot of planning for "what comes next" that will hopefully make for more consistency down the line. More on that in the future. With that said, we are all back home and ready to push this over the line."
Starbound is better in every way even though it's only a beta. More content, more weapons, more decorations, more enemy types, better combat, more worlds to explore, more variety, more...everything.
Terraria was good but Starbound has 100% replaced Terraria for me. I can't think of a single reason to go back and play Terraria now that I own Starbound.
