you don't get it, as a gamer who owned a gaming pc since Quake2 and upgrady maybe each 2-3years to top notch rigs, i always wanted to see an ALTERNATIVE to Windows and thats pretty much what a lot of gamer like me saw in SteamOS when it was announced: a palpable performance boost versus unsing good ol windows.(oh boy what an awesome news!!)

..sadly its not the case with the benchmarks i saw, even thereès its still very limited and dont even think about playing your games wich arent available via Steam, forget BF4 and Titanfall...

so, like i said and will repeat(Disagree with me i dont care) for a gamer who is already playing pc games SteamOS just did "pphff.. like a wet firecracker.

for me its futile and limited, i can already click on big picture mode on steam... futile OS is futile..get it brah?

@AuToFiRE real "glorious master race" play on consoles, play on pc, play on handhelds and they also play mobile games when we poops, now what are you saying mr.phoney gamer? circlejerking on one system only make you a phoney gamer, sry but i want to play BF4 on my pc, my metroid on my nintendo consoles, my ratchet and clank on playstation and my halo on xbox.

Steam has already stated it will be free regardless of what phase its in: alpha, beta, omega, delta kepa, sigma chi, or phelta lota pie.

so no need to install another OS in the Steambox as the Steambox can already play windows games without any converts ??

what about the Mac games in steam ??

but but 😪 linux games in steam is just a very few games , and only few AAA titals are working on linux .. thats means when u buy steambox u only will get liux library
