11 Best Video Game Sequels

Arcade Sushi writes: "We love sequels! Especially the 11 Best Video Game Sequels on this list. While movies that recycle the same formula often feel stale and pointless, when a game reuses the same formula as the original they can pare away the ingredients that didn’t work and jazz it up with a few new ones. If you check your gaming library you’ll probably find countless awesome sequels trying to entice you to play. Maybe you played the original, maybe you didn’t, but the point is that it’s often a later installment in a franchise which turns out to be your favorite, which is why we’re bringing you a list of the 11 Best Video Game Sequels."

How the heck is Half Life 2 at number 8 and not HIGHER?

....and how in the world is:

Fallout 3, The Witcher 2, any Elder's Scroll Game after 2, God Of War III, Rome: Total War, any Gran Turismo Game after 2, GTA San Andreas or Vice City, Super Mario Galaxy 2, or any Zelda game after 1

Blizzard Wants Faster Diablo Releases and More Expansions

Blizzard reveals plans to speed up Diablo releases with more frequent expansions and updates as the franchise moves toward a live-service future.

QuantumMechanic89d ago

All I want is a physical disc release of remastered D2 that doesn't require online check-ins.

VonAlbrecht89d ago

Ah, more and fast - the antithesis of careful and good

Christopher89d ago (Edited 89d ago )

I've lost complete interest. Too much FOMO with seasons as it is, now it's expansions? No thanks.

Michiel198989d ago

what fomo? everything gets reset each season and you start new characters unless you're playing on the regular servers and then you're already maxxed anway and just need to participate in the new season stuff.

Michiel198988d ago

i played only during launch and i found the ones in that battlepass to be absolute dogwater, the only ones that looked somewhat cool were the paid ones in the store and i wont bother with either. The game itself was just so hollow, there were no cool builds cause every synergy was just "x or y skills does more dmg or has this extra effect" almost no experimentation needed, couldnt give a rats ass about armor if the core of the game is boring af.

wtf, good thing I already played and finished the game when it came out

walken7110d ago

Once again hurting the people who purchase and support the game. Meanwhile pirates get the best version. Pathetic.

PRIMORDUS110d ago

There is already someone or a group called voices38, that has been cracking Denuvo games lately. Not the newest games, but getting there.

PRIMORDUS110d ago

I wonder if the pirated copies run better like this one titled here: "Resident Evil 4: Remake - Gold Edition (No Denuvo) (v1.5.0.0 + All DLCs + Bonus Content + MULTi14) (From 50 GB)"

Furesis110d ago

i don't think so? as far as i know even pirated version have denuvo or whatever runing in the background, they just trick it to say that yes this is a legit copy or just skip that process, but im not 100% sure. regardless this is an endless battle where legit consumer "suffer" sometimes. it's not that big of a deal MOST of the times and i understand publishers not wanting people to get access to their games for FREE so, i cant blame them honestly. i do find it odd that they wouldn't just remove DRM completely considering most people already played it? not like they are getting more sales anymore, just lower the price remove DRM but i guess thats why they still have it because they dont want to lower the price. oh well

A perfectly acceptable excuse to pirate the game.

Why would you accept to pay for the game in order for it to install software you don’t want with the intention to make your playing experience worse. Paying for that would be the very definition of stupid.

I’m not against DRM but if it negatively effects a product you’re paying for. Then it’s on them not you.
