Boll VS Bay is On

Director Uwe Boll is following his boxing match against five of his biggest critics with a grudge match against Director Michael Bay.

Yi-Long6597d ago

...didnt think Bay would stoop to Boll's level.

Bay was already pretty low, but Boll is even a few more floors down, after which you'll have to go into the cellar, grab a shovel, dig about 50 feet, and that's where you'll find a mole saying: "Boll? Ow man... you're nowhere near him yet! Dig deeper bro dig deeper"
That's how low Boll is.

Wouldnt surprise me if Boll made this agreement uop, just to sell some tickets for Postal.

BTW, Boll before a blue screen, with a simpel black fake fightposter overlayed in the background: best use of CGI in a Boll movie yet!

RealityCheck6597d ago

I agree, while not everyone likes Bay's movies, at least he is a professional. To stoop down to Boll's level would take that away and his career could suffer for it. In Hollywood, perception counts for a lot.

Spinner6597d ago

It's fake. Boll's a liar, bay never agreed to it:

"Just spoke to Mike, and it's false. This guy is really creepy, he's creeping me out.

BTW, Michael has never spoken to him and won't speak to him. Mike has a movie to deliver for June 2009, unlike this idiot.

Boll doesn't deserve press for his lame movie, so this is the last we talk about him in these forums. This press stunt will tank."

lol. The "entry fee" was 10 tickets to Boll's next movie - Postal. If he has to do this to sell tickets, pathetic.

ChaosKnight6597d ago

Yeah, why would Bay even consider this? Or is this Boll just making up **** to promote his movie, Postal? Well, it will either have no one in the crowd, or a couple who have collected tickets that on the ground who walked out early.

I don't agree with that. I WISH I could agree with that. But buying habits and customer opinions prove otherwise

We've seen developers in the AAA space try new things and ideas. More often than not, the customers aren't willing to give things a chance, or not enough people buy into the project for it to grow.

Creativity works better in the indie space because the budgets, pressures, and expectations aren't the same.

it's a nice idea and it worked during the PS2/PS3-era when AAA didn't cost hundreds of millions of dollars. smaller budgets and shorter development time left room for more creativity and more risk. a game didn't need to sell 4 million+ copies to break even. things are different now.

This is the guy who bragged about crunching his staff and having them work through the night. Crunch culture has lost more talent and done more damage to the industry than any other factor. Screw him.
