You should really turn in app purchases off on the device settings menu.

That being said, this story is wrong.
She failed the level. Simple as that. "But but but THE POINTS!"
She exploded a bomb and pranked her BF for good.

Every person that I see playing CC, I ask them how much they've spent on it and the response is always "just a couple of bucks", carefully dodging revealing an embarrassing number unless I beat it out of them.

Freemium in mobile games is INSANELY profitable right now. If I had a good idea for a freemium mobile game, I would not take a second to think about whether or not to start development on it.

I used to have a slight addiction to this game on Facebook until I decided enough was enough and basically used a Firefox extension to cheat. It was either pay to win or cheat to win, no contest.

Not many of them resort to such a cheap trick. Usually it's just an in game shop that you have to access on a menu. It has nothing to do with f2p and they make money from the in game adds.

my mom plays this on her phone and kindle and i was bored in the car one time so i play'd it and i went over the asking score and it said i didnt reach the score in time and i was like wtf to my mom this game sucks.

It does. it pulls similar moves in the game too, somehow I will go 4 straight games of needing only ONE more move and right away it asks if I want to buy 5 extra moves.

I also caught it breaking combos when I don't even touch half the gameplay area. I'll be down in the bottom right corner and somehow get a combo in he top left corner. It happens when it goes crazy with the multiplier.

It's just like claw machines, or those key hole games in wannabe arcades. They are designed to not stop a split second after you let go (only if you got it right) and only 1/100 chance of winning, no skill involved. Sometimes the claw will squeeze, other times it won't. Candy crush is the same, its designed to ALMOST let you win, but force you to spend money.

Also noticed that when you beat a level, sometimes when you come back you start back at that level. I've had this happen a few times. Beat a level that was taking forever, started the next level, but stopped. Came back and was back at the hard level.

Exactly. Although I completely agree with you, I am unrealistically good at the claw machine games for whatever reason.

They do seem to vary from machine to machine, hell I won 4 times in my area this week on different machines at different stores lol.

I always give the prizes away so I don't end up with a house full of stuffed animals

I'm good too, mostly because I pick and choose when to do it lol That or I don't rely on them closing, instead I'll rely on them accidentally knocking over something or dragging it lol

One time I won a 100 dollar GS gift card, and a week or two before that I actually won 6 animals at one machine because they programmed it wrong :P The next day it was listed as "out of order" with tape over the quarter slot haha

I used to play it. Also-if you run out of lives, uninstall then reinstall and you'll be full again, so long as your progress is connected through your Facebook. No need to wait or bug your friends. I do this on my iPhone 4S, can't speak for other devices.

You can also mod your save through easy programs (Google makes it easy to find on reliable sites) to give the special powers, unlock the barriers and have X lives.

Don't need jailbreak for that.

I'm also sure there are mods to freely unlock boosts too. I feel no guilt using them either. People spend TONS for boosts, lives etc for this game that probably didn't cost that much to develop. It's a money pit nickel and diming good (but gullible) folks everywhere.
They should have a pay one price/unlimited lives, but that would be too nice of them.

I have seen this happen to a lot of peeps at work, when I play I always seem to have a certain candy spot that I cant move, I also think the dev do this on purpose to get you to buy ..

I always thought this game was just a carnie app or those crane games. It will almost allow you to win after a certain amount of tries.

I believe the game is programmed to know how long have you need stuck on a stage. Yesterday I was started playing a stage I was stuck for a month, suddenly a lot of combinations appeared automatically and I pass the stage,it was like the difficulty automatically dropped, this is not the first time it hapens to me.

But when you use those lives, you have an ungodly amount of time to gain them back, or when you reset your phone to proper time.

Just delete the game, reinstall and you'll have 5 lives again. No need to mess with the phone settings

I hate this game for 1 reason...

Sometimes randomly while browsing the internet the android "play store" pops up to the candy crush app page. I don't understand why but it happens a few times a month.
