Wii is still hard to find and sold out everywhere. Demand still outstrips supply. Nintendo has no reason to cut price.

Wii is in a class of its own. It's not even directly competing with the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Lmao, Yeah a console that shares a lot of the same games and has most of the same features is some how not competing with the other guys... Thats just a load of BS to excuse the fact that the Wii is winning. When Nintendo said they werent competing with 360 and PS3, they were referring to graphics. Consoles are always in competition with other consoles. Sorry but just because millions more are buying th Wii than PS3/360 doesnt mean the Wii isnt in competition.

I'm sure we would all love a price cut for the wii just as much as those who would like to own a Wii once they find it. Fact is Nintendo is not even in trouble yet, probably not even close to being in trouble. With the PS3 at a whopping 500 for some it's out of price range for several people (Especially some college people like myself.) The Wii though, that's well within' range, adds something "new" to the table of games and is open practically to all ages, making it easy for all ages. As well as staying affordable like the gamecube was.

Where this guy is getting all these facts are beyond me...For one I thought they had stopped making GTA to be honest Lol, and being on it's four installment It either must be really good or they are able enough to make another.

Again though I really don't see how they will do a price cut when people probably would fight someone for the chance to get a Wii. Being high demand it is and scarce as it is in the states. I think they will work on that before worrying about something such as price cut.

They're going to need to drop the price to get me to buy one (in addition to having some on store shelves), but I think they are probably OK with me not buying one so long as millions of others are. ;)

Turn all attention torwards virtual console games! no other way round it!

its just a toy, not a gaming console, to me its borign after a few weeks, i still havent touched the damn thing and im not going to bother with anything on it anymore, my last game is no more heroes, and as amazing as it is, i stopped playin just to see better graphics on my ps3, thats it for me< NO MORE HEROES> NO MORE WII GAMES/

It may all be relative. But that is a concept that can be a distraction. The ps3 has tremendous potential. If your pc card is being compared to a ferarri. then a ps3 is more like a BMW that will continue to be modified for performance in the future. Wii on the other hand is being sold for a big profit. Ps3 might still be being sold at a loss for Sony after all these months. Meaning you probably get a lot more for your money with ps3. Either ps3 or 360 in my opinion are far better deals, although I enjoy Wii. It is definately overpriced IMO.

I think we'll see another surge when Wii Fit hits.

After that, the Wii sales will decline...

Then, they will fade out by 2010...

The Wii has a ton of games for the casuals, the 360 doesn't have that much for casuals to pick from...

I don't see my boss or other casuals picking up the 360 to play Gears, Viva Pinata, Halo3, Blue Dragon, etc...

I see them picking up the Wii for Wiifit, Smooth Moves, Mario Party, Mario Kart, Excite trucks, Wii Sports etc...

Plus the controller is easier for them to figure out...Older people lack the dexterity to use the controller and lose interest fast.

the people buying the Wii and making it more popular than the others dont want a PS3 or an Xbox 360. Its all in brand perception, the Wii is that fun little thing with the bowling and the golf and the cool little remote control to most people. They'll pick up wii fit or mario kart for the fun steering wheel thingy but they dont want a conrtoller with a bunch of buttons.

The Wii has gotten around the negative stigma of video games that alot of casual and non-gamers have. In the minds of many people its just a fun little toy thats ok for an adult to buy and play with.

Thats the true brilliance of the Wii, the marketing and image. Thats why its selling so well and thats why they do not need any sort of price cut for a very long while.

If Nintendo does a price cut comming this christmas expect people to be fighting, robing and maybe killing people to get it because they or there kids are demanding it. Nintendo's not havin a price cut. It's as simple as that.

Ninty isn't cutting the price, sure its expensive when you consider what you get for a 360 imo, but the problem is the audience for the wii is much bigger and they don't care about graphics, to each his own, 95% of the wii games are just plain boring imo, but kids and soccer mommies eat that stuff for breakfast. I'm good with what I like, the industry is growing and its good for everybody.

.....but maybe we'll see a value bundle before we see an actual pricecut. Now that games like "Mario Galaxy" have sold millions of copies to those whom already have a Wii, I could see Nintendo keeping the price at the current mark, but offering another game in the bundle.

If they throw in a decent first party title like "Galaxy" into the bundle, they could keep the cost where it is and justify it.

It really doesnt need a price cut the way its selling. People will keep forking out there money for this whatever the cost. Personally ill never get one.
