Good points BUT Nintendo doesn't need everyone to be on board or to purchase. Nintendo is a very profitable company. They can be profitable with selling just 30 million units of Wii U. eshop sales, dlc, fan loyalty (meaning Nintendo fans buying Nintendo brand games)... But the amount of games that will start to flow out next year and the year after will be excellent! I mean look at what happened to the 3ds. It started out VERY slow but from what I here the library is filled with GREAT titles and thats what is making it sale extremely well! I believe the same or something similar will happen with the Wii U..

The selling point to developers is pretty simple.

indies can self publish using unity or bamboo web framework, which lets you just make html5 game using JavaScript, which is what notch did.

dlc can be under any framework you want, pc vs wiiu players is also possible.

On top of all of this you dont have to compete against bias hype. The writing is on the wall with ps gamers, they want stories not games. Lots of xbox fans have gone ps also which explains why ps gamers suddenly got bad attitudes, for what ever reason. Yet these same gamers will only buy fps, or cod only, then dabble in the exclusives.

then there is the unlimited creativity you can achieve with their control setup, hand held vr is possible while shifting your weight on the balance board. Picture over picture gaming is also possible. Dual screen gaming is also possible. Virtual controls are more feasible now, not jusr keypads, the list goes on but I would be giving to much away.

basically imagine titanfall with rpg elements and possible online battles worthy of the most addictive online games... all using a control pad to press any button in your cockpit by moving the controller over it in a vr fashion. This game could be X or it could be another new ip or metriod s version of Pacific rim?

As a developer this is what I would shoot for by you would only get to see something like that years from now.... maybe.

The gap graphicly has been closed mostly. The sdk and api are coming together nicely. Most major functionality in both the competitors boxes is in the wiiu. Basically you can do what you did on the ps3 or xbox and then just keep on going, with no real juggling of resources and cpu free compression you can make the wiiu perform like a high end gpu.

why develop for the wiiu? Do you honestly think mk8 is not going to sell, do you think smash brothers is not going to sell, do you really think gamers will resist the next zelda?

the next reson is quality, these gamers want quality and are ready to be addicted to real game play and once you get then all you have to do is make sure the game is good. On the other systems you will be chasing the moving target of graphic whores and story preferences and internet hype.... if you are about gaming then it would be wise to leave that broken model to the dinosaurs that continue to pump money into that.

Id rather have a notch following than a cod like fanbase. As the gen marches on I think more gamers will see how shallow their devs and publisher are when the graphics dont match the quality of game play or even story.... every one can not afford movie budgets.

The Wii U does actually a lot better, than most of the people want to believe on here, at least based on the news I read here.

Its just the trend right now, to act like the Wii U is a failure, even though its weekly sales are almost half of the last quarter. It is just a trend to act like Nintendos glass is half empty, than half full. Fanboys of the other plattforms cant believe that and still act, like nothing has changed, even though it did change a lot. But fanboys gonna hate, no matter what.

Its sad, but it is like it is. The hype of the PS4 just shows that. The trolls want to tell you, you can only have fun with a great game, if your console is owned by a lot of people, even though, it is the games you play, not how many people bought it.

I just want the Wii U to sell enough to get proper Third Party support, I dont care for much else, but trolls act like, there is other stuff that counts, but there isnt, huge sales numbers doesnt make my console any better, the games will not be better. OK, many will say now, of course they are better, but actually, they are not, they look better granted, but does that affect the gameplay, didnt you guys play your games on a PS3 a month ago and now it is not ok for your eyes? I dont think so. We get high quality 3D games, if I play it in 1080p or 720p doesnt make as much of a difference, as high Anti Alising and good shadows and all. The picture is stiill pretty clear, but people want to tell you, it is not, or you cannot play games, because of slightly worse graphics^^

Also don't forget almost no Micro transactions! You buy the game it is yours! :). And readily available, fun to share with friends and free Online!:D

Notch didn't use Javascript, he used Java, there is a huge difference and silly that people keep confusing the two.

Oh sorry that is a huge difference, bad info from bad reporting I guess... I know its closer to c++ than any thing else.
