If you follow the game industry, you'll hear the term "game engine" thrown around a lot. And one would bet sometimes, late at night when everyone else has gone to sleep, you sit and wonder, "What is this nebulous thing I keep hearing about?"
You would expect that the answer would be as simple as being shown a car's engine: "Yeup, thar she is." After all, the game engine, much like a car's engine, is what makes the game go. Unfortunately, sometimes there's a fuzzy line between where a game's engine ends and where the content of a game begins, as if there were a fuzzy line between whether a car's air conditioner is part of its engine.

You can get Hall effect controllers slightly cheaper, but you'd struggle to find as feature-rich a package without some heavy, heavy sales.
article. At least,i know something a little better today.
we need more articles like this on N4G.Unfortunately this wont happen
it was a really good article also. I am trying to post articles like this a lot. Unfortunately, most read news on N4G is just issues about console superiority and/or flamewar.:(
Anyways, I am very interested in game engines, especially the Cryengine. I just bought a new PC and can finally play Crysis. The engine in the game blew me away. I think it is a lot better than UE3. Unfortunately, most developers don't seem to want to license it. Or possibly it is just really expensive.
If we had more of this sort of article on this site, we would have far less people who have no idea what they're talking about.
Contributors, try to submit this sort of thing more, maybe we can educate N4G!
