Engine Stress Test Part 1: Neoaxis SDK 1.32

A very basic stress test using prefabs provided in the Neoaxis Engine Non Commercial SDK 1.32, and the included Map Editor.

The Resource Editor is the next video in the series and will be looking at importing 3D models (Houses and Structures) into the resource editor for further enhancements. So far, Google Sketchup seems to be a very straightforward application for accomplishing this (exports to COLLADA .dae)

As development continues, more stress test videos will be uploaded using custom made assets.

I'm guessing this is an engine for mobile games??

muddygamesite4566d ago

Yes Sir!

At the moment the engine supports Mac OS X and Windows deployment.

However the engine makers have mentioned that iOS, Android, and even Steam Box will be supported very shortly.

Many Thanks

This is the worst demo video I have ever witnessed

I am actually getting a proper Capture equipment next week, so all further videos will be of much better quality.

The aim of the video is to demonstrate what I believe is a very good engine that not many have heard of.

Believe me when I say as a developer, you have to be careful when using technology (licensing e.t.c.). You want to surround yourself with a set of tools that aid your development, and save you money.

Some engine vendors Quoted me $75,000 upfront to even use their engine (Source Code Edition).

The Neoaxis engine 2.0's website states: " NeoAxis 3D Engine Free SDK 2.0 — free full development environment, which includes most of the engine features such as quality dynamic shadows, landscape editor, soft particles, modern full-screen effects such as High Dynamic Range, Screen Space Ambient Occlusion, Depth of Field, Light Scattering, Lens Flares, and many other features. "

With all due respect, considering the capabilities of this engine (some excellent based environmental physics), I think it's amazing. Anyone can work on this engine seeing as it is free to develop and publish . . . royalty free.

And what if you wanted to buy the professional version ? Only costs $195. Royalty free.

And the Source Code edition is only $2895, Royalty free.

With the Nvidia PhysX Engine 3.2.0 incorporated, you have a fairly logical and capable engine, which is competitively priced! :-)

Once again, sorry about the video quality. The next videos will be much better, and show other aspects of this engine.

And oh, we will be doing the same with the latest version of the CryEngine available for non commercial use :-)

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Jingsing33d ago

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Tanktopmaster9233d ago

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit33d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing33d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9233d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
