That good bye America bit got me thinking. Pre-war setting for part of game, maybe the prologue.
What would be the point in saying goodbye America, if it's already a wasteland.

That's if it doesn't turn out to be a hoax, I know the website domain or something is not the same. But that could be to throw us of it.

Fallout 4 has HUGE potential BUT they need to redo the engine design from the ground up as textures are very dated and the engine seemed to struggle at many occasion also using high grade testing/testers would help to get rid of a lot of the floating rock issues.

That might not be the actual game engine as much as what their trying to put into it on last gen memory. Allocating as much stuff as they were trying to do onto the limited resources available is what turned it into a 'barren, brown wasteland' and I'm not talking about the environment. This is where more memory comes into play, literally.

Now they don't have to re-skin enemies, or texture dump, now they can have dungeons that don't contain the same hallways that are just set up different. Now they can have more moments with NPCs that aren't as awkward. Everything benefits from here on out.

I can't wait for the next iteration of these games on this new generation that makes everything so much easier for them. Fallout 3 and New Vegas were a blast for me! Sure they needed work, but a lot of the issues didn't have as much to do with them as it did with the hardware they were stuck with. Can't wait to see what they can do with this!

If it stays the same as this gen, then now there's nobody else to blame but themselves. Everybody tried throwin' 'em under the bus this last gen, when what they were trying to do just really didn't fit into this last gens cycle. It was too much for it.

EDIT:
Their engine also definitely needs some tweaking too though, if not a complete over-haul. The physics definitely need to get re-worked completely, along with the collision detection. It really takes away from the immersion when objects are clipping through solid rock.

I've seen people both confirm and deny this is Fallout related.

I did a quick WHOIS on this domain and bethsoft.com and they are both registered by ZeniMax media in Maryland.

Makes me think there is something to the rumors...

They need to look at Morrowind and see what the progression should have been from there instead of the regression we got with the next 2 games. They weren’t horrible games but they could have been so much more.

Fallout 4 just felt too streamlined and accessible to me, the perk system was not as fun as it was in Fallout 3, not saying Fallout 3 didn't have issues but 4 just felt like a complete step back.

I bought Fallout 4 (I loved Fallout 3) at launch and I couldn't bring myself to finish it or even get close to finishing it. It was soooo damned boring and bland. I played on a very hard difficulty and I had hundreds of stimpaks. One of the only games I've played for a while and not ended up finishing it. I hated it. Just flat out hated it.
