I played huge time on Cabal Online. I participated to the closed beta and open beta and remember before its launch when it was considered as "the first Devil May Cry-like MMO".

But there were 3 problems: first, the maps were very small for a MMORPG, when you see huge worlds as in Lineage 2 or 9Dragons. Then, there were no healer class, every class has its magic, can heal itself a bit, and real buffers were lvl 60-70. And finally, the price of potions was way too small, meaning you could easily buy 250 potions when you are a noob, decreasing the party interest.

But i loved playing Cabal, i don't regret having lost my social life on it.

Nice list for fans of the genre . In my case i cant be fan of any , since my grip with ultimately all mmo is the amount of grind . I dont kid myself , quests are just a deguised form of grind , but the illusion would be enough for me . Thats why i'm more inclined to enjoy mmo such as wow and a few others , since they drown you with their lore , quests and story bits .

Unfortunately most free games fails hard in quests and storylines . Not to mention that their world is horribly static (but to be fair , its like that with nearly all mmos)
