MizTv4576d ago

I would like to see beyond on ps4 this year

MightyNoX4576d ago

Don't you mean a sequel?

MizTv4576d ago

@mighty
No I want beyond 2 souls
I didn't get it for my ps3
And I'm full on ps4 now

Ezz20134576d ago (Edited 4576d ago )

i want a sequal to this awesome game
loved every minute of it
and the gfx are 'beyond' this world
can't imagine what those guys will do on ps4

PersonMan4575d ago

Sometimes the graphics looked really good in Beyond Two Souls, but other times it looked very cartoonish.

LOL. I see what you did there.

MadLad4576d ago

Cheesy in all the right ways, my friend.

SIX4576d ago

I miss old school Smashing Pumpkins.

Alexious4576d ago

You are a poet in the making, aren't you?

Kleptic4576d ago

ha, to be honest, i'm pretty sure i read that a long time ago...around when Heavy Rain released...so i applied the 2+ year old joke rule, in which case its now my joke...

2 years from now, any of you can use it as your own if you'd like...

Relientk774576d ago

I would like to see David cover that Smashing Pumpkins song, with those lyrics lol

Please make something other then movies.

I know some people love those types of games, but they do nothing for me. Yet i can see the quality of work he produces. Just would like to see his take on another genre.

linkenski4576d ago

No,that's what David Cage does. I find it strange some people want him to quit the industry or make regular games just because his games are different. It's what this industry fucking needs! Variety, and he's bringing it.

I would love him to continue writing stories (but stay away from whatever it was for a line of thought you had when you wrote Beyond O.o) but they should keep making them into interactive cinema and I hope their next game will have more choices and such. Also, less action please. It's really redundant and cheesy in Beyond and it makes the story even more messy than it already was.

CGI-Quality4576d ago

So glad people like you understand. Bubs, sir!

solidsheep4576d ago

Nah brah he needs to make a fps or gtfo.

windblowsagain4576d ago

That was the point, i like variety, but i don't like press here, click that type affair.

Obviously you do.

I still like a good story, but in other genre's.

Also.

This blew me away the most.

rainslacker4576d ago

I think his stories come off as kind of cliched at times. Beyond was better than Heavy Rain, but it still had all the typical story tropes you see in a TV show trying to cut time off the script, which isn't necessary for a game where you can culture the characters and story better.

I don't think there needs to be less action, it just needs to be better action. It would also help if you could actually fail...as in game over fail. That really took away a lot of the anticipation, knowing that no matter what you did, you'd still reach the end. I think if he wants to make it so you can't fail, then the story should branch better, and end with more than just a few cosmetic changes at the end. Endings with more substance based on the choices made would make the game re-playable for more than just getting an added line of dialog, and seeing some montages of a couple extra characters.

I_am_Batman4576d ago

The thing you dislike about his games is the thing most people that do like his games enjoy the most about them. If you don't like that type of games just don't buy them.

Rzep4576d ago

I don't mind the interactive movie thing. What I mind is David Cage writing the games...dude is a terrible fucking writer. Dialogues in his games could be better written by a moderatly intelligent chimp.

Salooh4576d ago (Edited 4576d ago )

What david cage doing will evolve the gaming you love. Developers will mix the gameplay you always liked with the amazing story telling of this studio.

He's providing new things we didn't experience. That's why i like his games.

Rzep4576d ago

Not sure what you are going on about, he makes point and click adventure games, except he replaces point and clicking with QTEs.

Salooh4576d ago (Edited 4576d ago )

Again , he's evolving story telling. Yes , the gameplay sucks for a game but it's trying it's own thing.

rainslacker4576d ago

He's not really evolving story-telling. His stories are pretty standard fare. Bioware did a better job of evolving story-telling before the EA buyout than Cage has done.

What cage has done though is offer a more interesting way to present interactive movies onto the public.

People should just take his games for what they are. Interactive movies, or digital novels, that excel on a graphical technical level. He is pretty good about eliciting emotion from the viewer, but I feel that sometimes the story is written in such a way to try and force those feelings, instead of them being natural.

Don't get me wrong, I do like his games, but I feel he gets more credit than he deserves for story telling. I will never dispute the technical prowess of QD's graphics engine though.

ajax174576d ago

He's making games for a specific audience. If he changed too much then it wouldn't be a David Cage game.

MizTv4576d ago

I like there games because it's different than everything else

kneon4576d ago

Why should he change the kinds of games he makes? Other people are already making your standard run of the mill games by the boat load.

You say you like variety yet you want to reduce the variety of games available because you don't care for some of them.

after the Dark Sorcerer, i can't wait to see what he does with this processing power...

Alexious4576d ago

He even said that Dark Sorcerer had been just using Beyond's engine merely ported to PS4.

Just imagine the actual game...

MasterCornholio4576d ago

I hope The Dark Sorcerer is the game because its funny as heck and i think its a very good idea if David Cage makes a comedic video game.

Sarcasm4576d ago

That's what he needs to make, something that isn't so serious and have more light hearted elements. Throw in some comedy into the mix.

sprinterboy4576d ago

Would love to see a ww2 story from quantum dreams like a saving private Ryan kinda story

ExitToExisT4576d ago

I hope next Quantic Dream will have actual gameplay.
Note: I rated Heavy Rain 9.5 , Beyond 7.5.

I have no doubt their next game will look great though..

Alexious4576d ago

I'd rate Heavy Rain lower and Beyond higher than those. HR is a bit overrated in my opinion, Beyond might actually be underrated.

Veneno4576d ago

I believe David Cage is better off keeping supernatural elements out of his games. Heavy Rain was easier to relate to because it is a story that could actually happen. Not to say that you can't have elements in a story that are way out there, but it has to be believable. Beyond 2 Souls, for me, just wasn't relatable or believable.

Looks like PlayStation took a hit with Marathon and is now quietly adjusting prices worldwide to recover the losses

andy8540d ago

Lets be honest raising prices doesn't do that when no one's buying it. I imagine the profit it greater selling 10 times more at a lower price

Pergele40d ago

Whatever you say buddy, let's all wear the tinfoil hats.

IceKoldKilla40d ago (Edited 40d ago )

LMFAO Your comment alone says a lot more about you than anything else. When has one game not selling 10 million copies made a company raise the prices of their console? Then Xbox would be costing $5000 by now lol. You remind of the crazy drug addicts on the street rambling on about conspiracies. xD You sure you don't need a hug, buddy?

ChunkyMonk40d ago

One game that Sony payed $200 million for. lol
Also, you sure were quick to get triggered. Maybe your the one who needs a hug?

Eonjay40d ago

If nothing else, we should be united against the real issue here. AI and unnecessary tariffs that are effecting all gamers.

Athlon10141d ago (Edited 41d ago )

The price increases are due to the RAM demand associated with AI and the US-Iran war. You can look to any business news website and local news to see that. Heck, even the 2026 Asus Zenbook Duo I've been eyeing has faced delays and has had a price increase of $400; that laptop has two specs. Asus is doing a staggered release with per-orders for the lower spec now and shipping in May and pre-orders for the higher spec that I'm eyeing starting in June. Basically, all computer manufactures are affected. It'll most likely start affecting smart phones too if it hasn't already. I can't remember the last time any major console maker (Nintendo, Sony, Sega, etc) increased the price of their console mid cycle outside of Microsoft just to make more profit.

S2Killinit40d ago

Its not the war. Its the RAM issue.

jznrpg40d ago

War is causing gas prices to rise. Transport of everything requires gas so the prices of those items go up as well. So it does have an impact

Athlon10140d ago (Edited 40d ago )

The blockage of the Straight of Hormuz due to the US-Iran war has affected raw components used in semi-conductor manufacturing such as bromine, aluminum, and helium. Iran had attacked the liquified natural gas (LNG) plant in Qatar which is a large producer (1/3 globally) of helium which is used in semiconductor etching. So it's the both the war and the RAM crises.

badz14940d ago

Oh no...should I get the Pro now before the price increase?

I dont think that'll ever happen. But i must say back in the day, they were definitely trying because they were more cash rich than their competitors.

CosmicTurtle53d ago

I think MS were and still are the richer company. They tried to acquire Sega back in the day (and considered doing so again more recently), they obviously bought exclusivity to Halo which was originally shown as a Mac title. I don’t think as a company MS can claim the moral high ground here. It’s a wilful lack of self awareness.

Of course Sony would try exactly the same if they had the resources, but when the PS2 dominated the industry was in a much healthier place with an abundance of great third parties.

This has been a depressing generation as far as first party decisions are concerned. The fact we are debating business plans rather than which game is better is a sad reflection of the state of things.

Darkseeker54d ago (Edited 54d ago )

There was Nintendo as well, Sony wouldn't have had a monopoly. In fact, the world would be better today if Xbox never existed in the first place. They pretty much brought all bad practices we have today. We might have gotten all of it either way, but not this early. In term of franchises, I don't think there is anything Microsoft released that would actually be missed if it didn't exist. Even Halo the world wouldn't notice if Halo didn't exist.

S2Killinit53d ago

MS was definitely a bad influence on gaming.

raWfodog54d ago

I think almost everyone will agree that a monopoly is not good for the industry. But that being said, the competition needs to be smart and strategic with their business. Simply buying up publishers and traditional third-party studios just to keep them out of the other companies reach is not a sustainable practice. That goes for all parties so don't think I'm just referring to Xbox.

I'm no business guru by any stretch of the imagination but I firmly believe that the best way to drive consumers to your software and hardware is to invest smart in your first-party studios. Give them full support and guidance in making unique, fun games that are only available to play in your ecosystem and the gamers will come.

Reaper22_54d ago (Edited 54d ago )

But first party studios aren't enough. They only make up a small portion of the industry. Without 3rd party there would be no industry for Microsoft or sony.Developing games take time and money and sometimes you gotta make moves to stay competitive.

raWfodog53d ago

Nah, I never said first-party was enough. I said it’s the ‘best way’ to drive gamers to your platform. 3rd-party is a free-for-all and there’s no guarantee that gamers will use your hardware to play the game. If you want to push your own software and/or hardware you need first-party, or at least exclusive deals with third-party studios.

SimpleDad54d ago

They Shure did a great job... 25 years later Xbox is dead.

Reaper22_54d ago

Then why be so emotional and continue to talk about it. Xbox will never die be ause it stays in so many people's head.

lodossrage54d ago

How can you even see him being "emotional" in that comment?

If anything, you're the emotional one, constantly trying to go at anyone that says anything against Microsoft. So when you call him emotional, it comes off as deflection

Elda53d ago

I own an XBSX & I can say it's becoming irrelevant out of the 3 current consoles.
