Fallout 4 Teaser Site Updated

Teaser site update cements idea that Fallout 4 is due to be revealed by Bethesda.

After news that Bethesda were hiring for a next-gen RPG, trademarks being filed for Fallout 4 and what is alleged to be a teaser site for Fallout 4 appearing, the prospect of an upcoming Fallout 4 reveal is looking ever more likely.

That aformentioned teaser site has now been updated to read, "Nuclear Winter is coming in...," followed by a countdown.

I'm like a fly to a light when it comes to Fallout 3

dragon824479d ago

Give me a PS4/XB1 Fallout and I will be set for months.

Evilsnuggle4480d ago (Edited 4480d ago )

Yes it will be on PS4 and xboned put it will not be next gen it will be on ps3 and 360 also . It will be on the skyrim engine.

Golden_Mud4480d ago

We don't know what engine it's on......

Indo4480d ago

Highly doubt it, they are going to use a newer up to date engine for nextgen then port it to PS3/360. Most likely

SilentNegotiator4479d ago (Edited 4479d ago )

It really bugs me that people really think that the engine determines if it's next-gen or not.

Wanna know a secret? Most engines are based off of constantly updated old ones. Even most of the new ones are HEAVILY based on old ones.

If it's based on the Skyrim engine, I guarantee you that it will be an updated Skyrim engine.

I guess you can also say that i'm a fly drawn to light as well with Bethesda. I'm just really curious as to the validity of this website. I took the time to do a simple right-click and inspect the website's code. Found a few cool things, but what I found the most interesting was that the developer of the website left his name in the code. I was sure that Krzysztof Furtak (@KrzysiekFurtak) is the designer of the website. Someone already asked him about this mysterious treasure and he has no clue about it.

I was gonna ramble on about how this website is fake until I noticed something. He only coded the plugin used for the countdown for this website. The search for the truth continues. If this is fake, I tip my hat for pulling my leg on this one. By the way, man, doesn't Winter Fallout seem fucking awesome?!

Bonerboy4479d ago (Edited 4479d ago )

I couldn't have said it better myself grumpc. Fallout 3 was and is still one of my favorite games. Here's hoping they can reinvent the same stellar experience.

Please be PS4, please be PS4...

raWfodog4480d ago

I'm pretty sure that there will be a PS4 and Xbox One version. Or do you mean that you wish it to be next-gen and PC exclusive?

Ezz20134480d ago (Edited 4480d ago )

they would be fools not to bring it on the most wanted next gen console (Ps4)

Skate-AK4479d ago

It will be. After the nightmare Skyrim was on PS3.

Sodeadly1234480d ago

Maybe its gonna be in a colder region. I think it'd be awsome if it was in chicago during winter. Isn't Chicago the brotherhood of steel's last big stronghold in america.

GarrusVakarian4480d ago (Edited 4480d ago )

"Nuclear Winter" refers to the ash that falls after an atomic explosion that makes the landscape look like its coated in snow, but yeah i do agree with you, snowy areas would be awesome.

dumahim4480d ago

No, it isn't just about looking like winter. Nuclear winter is the expected temp drop due to smoke and ash blocking the sun. Depending on how bad it is, even during the summer in warmer climates it could be below freezing.

RDF4480d ago

I think its the Enclaves last stronghold. Miraposa Base is the Headquarters for them.

Logak4480d ago

No, It's not going to be set in Chicago. Gonna be in Boston i,e; The CommenWealth. It's like a massive robot city place thing, where they're lots of scientists.
The Morse code playing in the website translate to;

"MY DEAR SISTER. I’M HEADING TO THE INSTITUTE. GOD KNOWS WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS PLACE NOW. THIS OLD BASTARD WILL HELP US. HE MUST HELP US. –0321–"

^ The Institute is a scientific society thing located in the Commonwealth, and it's headed by Zimmer, the guy from Fallout 3 who came down looking for an android he made that ran off.

Before there was a different Morse code playing, and it was;

“Call Any Station, Calling Any Station, Calling Any Station, This is From OZ (Oscar Zulu), Please Wait.”

^ "Oscar Zulu" was a mystery radio station which was going on about how a man and his family were very sick and they needed help, and when you finally found them, they disappeared. I suspect that it would be related to this family, and their sickness... In which they travel to the Commonwealth in search for a cure, though that's just speculation.

howittsdone4480d ago

I wonder if the 0321 at the end could be the release date. Its a Friday in March (so it very well could be, Skyrim was released on a Friday). That would be amazing! I can't wait!!!!!!!!!

problemchild844480d ago (Edited 4480d ago )

I always assumed they had died, there were several skeletons in the place that they were holed up in (meaning that the message was quite old and was playing on a loop for many years) if I remember correctly. Anyway I can't wait for some more Fallout!

They need to look at Morrowind and see what the progression should have been from there instead of the regression we got with the next 2 games. They weren’t horrible games but they could have been so much more.

-Foxtrot111d ago

Fallout 4 just felt too streamlined and accessible to me, the perk system was not as fun as it was in Fallout 3, not saying Fallout 3 didn't have issues but 4 just felt like a complete step back.

mastershredder111d ago

So the part where you just sold the same games for the last 10 years while you focused on 76 and merch, was not a reset from the "creative" aspect eh? How very Todd of you.

lukasmain111d ago

I bought Fallout 4 (I loved Fallout 3) at launch and I couldn't bring myself to finish it or even get close to finishing it. It was soooo damned boring and bland. I played on a very hard difficulty and I had hundreds of stimpaks. One of the only games I've played for a while and not ended up finishing it. I hated it. Just flat out hated it.
