Sony is in the middle of an FPS crisis, but bringing back two much-loved PlayStation shooters could easily be the solution.
I honestly don't think we'll be seeing these anytime soon, if ever. Insomniac is officially on Marvel duty since it seems that all they're working on based off the leaks, and Horizon is more of what the casuals want these days. And I now I'll get a bunch of disagrees, but keep in mind that Resistance last got a game on the PS3 (2011) and Killzone was a launch title for the PS4 (2013). 10 years is a long time to make a game, if had any interest they would've done it by now, add InFamous to that list.
Resistance 3 turned me off to the series but I’d love a reboot. KillZone I think can stay dead. Give me a new Resistance like 1or 2 and I’ll be happy.
I honestly never cared or liked killzone. Huge resistance fan though. I remember so many nights playing melee only on USS Lexington, and I like the alt history vibe.

The PlayStation 3 may not have been the strongest generation for Sony, but there were still some diamonds in the rough that deserve a revisit as PS5 remasters.
Even if they could just remaster and put on PSVR2, some would still look great as VR titles and could do a whole lot to bolster the headset w these exclusives! I'd imagine the investment of reworking these titles into VR would be way less than building new games from the ground up, and they could be amazing experiences, and VR often makes flat games feel fresh again. The Resistance and Killzone games are particularly what I want to see!!
The time is perfect for a resistance fall of man game campaign coop multiplayer
Resistance was ok but Warhawk and Starhawk was better and kept me coming back for almost a decade of fun and petty revenge on the loud mouth unskilled players 🤣
Edit I loved capture the flag dropping the pot on the flag carrier was extremely satisfying as well as transforming your plane in bot form and stumping them to death 😱

While it's been on ice for as long as it was around, the Resistance franchise has no shortage of quality.
My take:
Single player
3, 2, 1
Multiplayer
3, 1, 2
Overall
3, 2, 1
I beat the lengthy single player in 1 multiple times and spent hours in the online too. Plus 1 featured my home town! Special mention to the audio design in 1: playing that with surround headphones blew me away.
Note: I have the platinum for Resistance 2.
I only played the 3 main Resistance titles. My ranking would be;
1. Resistance 3
2. Resistance: Fall of Man
3. Resistance 2
Man I loved 3's campaign. Another gem stuck on the ps3 and who knows if insomniac will go back to the franchise.
So that's what, 2 exclusive titles?
Lame. And five of them are already out on 360.
Full auto 2 is not going to be fun, and genji??
Looks like they just have resistance, but if I were to get a FPS, it would be COD3, so there really is no reason to get a ps3 for a while, thats good to know.
I guess its a decent launch list for those who are PS3 fans only because theres a few exclusives and if you like sports games theres plenty to choose from.
I think this has to be somewhat disapointing to those the "EARLY" adopter hardcore fans of "BOTH" consoles because this launch line-up only has 3 exclusives so for those who already own a 360; IMO opinion from what I've seen so far only RFOM even comes close to being a standout exclusive launch title.....I wonder how accurate this list actually is?....for all we know it could be more or less....What happened to RR7?, I'm positive that RR7 was a launch game, right?
Anyway since I decided awhile ago to wait to get my PS3, it will have something exclusive I want by the time I pick it up.
Where are the games that are going to appeal to the Japanese gamer? Genji is the only one that would appeal to that demographic. Two shooters, some sports games and a racing game that is not Ridge Racer. This is a flop, software-wise, in Japan.
They should have some more Japanese-centric games in their launch window, but this lineup for launch DAY speaks volumes about Japan's importance to Sony this generation.
