In Japan you don't get much bigger than Square Enix and, at Square Enix, you don't get much more influential than Yoshinori Kitase – the Director of the monstrously successful and popular Final Fantasy VII on the original PlayStation.
Now as the prequel to the original is released in Europe on the PSP, titled Crisis Core, bit-tech.net sat down with Yoshinori Kitase to talk things through. Kitase-san served as the executive producer of Crisis Core and joining him throughout the interview is Hideki Imaizumi, the producer of the game.
How has life changed after FFVII, what does Square Enix think of the PSP and just why did the game take so long to make and translate for European audiences?

Reunion is the big-screen remaster of Crisis Core that so many have asked for since the original game was released. For those who shun the smaller screens of handheld gaming, this will be their first time experiencing this early chapter in the ongoing Final Fantasy VII saga. The big question is, is it worth the wait?

A new Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII Reunion Play Arts Kai figure is coming this summer, with pre-orders closing today!

Cloud Strife and Zack Fair are two deeply beloved characters in the Final Fantasy 7 universe, but which one is the better protagonist?
Both are great. Zack was the reason how Cloud became who he is, is just a really fun character and had to go through a ton of struggle so I do rate him a bit higher. Can't wait for the two to perhaps fight with or against eachother in the next part or two in the remake games.
Myabe it's on the psp, and I always wanted a gameboy when I was kid and never got one, so psp is my first handheld and I love every direction this game goes in, and then I can stream ff7 from my ps3 on the psp.
I like it more than anything else in the gaming universe.
After Playing Crisis Core I Now Want A Remake =[
