
As we move into the next-generation, one genre looks to change its ways: the JRPG. While Square Enix and Namco Bandai have released underwhelming titles as of late, Atlus has been making a name for itself with its Persona series. Nearing the announcement of the next game from the Persona team, one can hope that Persona 5 will help revive a suffering genre.

Atlus announced that it would be raising both entry level salaries and yearly base pay for all employees starting April 2026.

Persona itself was always on a more developed level than the regular JRPG. Gave you a largely linear world, but offered tons of mystery which demanded exploration. Had interaction with monsters as well as NPCs.
Persona is way different than typical JRPGs...so I'm going to say no. I'm a fan of the series but it's a niche in a niche genre.
