looks amazing, i remember when i got the 360 at launch and putting in call of duty 2 and thinking how amazing it looked, but in comparison to the games on the 360 now it looks poor,

just imagine what the games will look like on xbox one in a few years if this is what they have achieved at the first try

I have no idea what the story in Ryse will be but I hope it doesn't simply depict non-Roman cultures as evil satan worshipping monsters.

The Roman Empire itself was a pretty sinister and enormously destructive tidal wave across Europe and the Mediterranean.

I would certainly appreciate that kind of depth in the narrative, would make it more interesting.

One of the best looking games of last gen imo. Should have had a sequel by now. Doubt we will ever see one though.

I thought a second one didn’t happen because the two parties couldn’t agree who actually owned the Ryse IP.

Evolve was a great game, Ryse had its chance as a launch title. They had plenty of exposure.

It was a blast to play. The campaign was short for sure, but still entertaining. And the HIGHLY underrated arena mode is simple, but seriously worth playing with a friend. Had a blast customizing my gladiator and going through all the rounds with the moving/changing arena. So much fun.

You know who deserve a second shot ? SHADOW OF ROME

Ryde on Xbox and The Order on PlayStation are the two games that often come to mind that scream "do a sequel". A few improvements in both areas, ala ACII
(personally preferred Altair but Ezio was cool and the game itself definitely an improvement) would do wonders. The fact a decade later we have Alan Wake 2 tells me never give up hope.

For a launch style game it looked 8ncredible was very lineier so they could turn up visuals it's worth a part 2 or at least a series x upgrade

Loved that game, i dont get the hate or why there wasnt a second one, its Rome, so many battles to explore in so many parts of the world.

I enjoyed the game, but I felt it had pacing issues. I think it really would have benefited from maybe a hub area you could just wander around and speak to people. Some RPG elements and upgrades wouldn't be bad, but that is not in line with a realistic Rome.

The game deserves to be enhanced for the X1X, and Series consoles first.

Whats crazy to me that no one seems to mention is how much the gameplay is similar to the new God of War games. I had a friend try out God of War a couple years back that had only had an xbox last gen. They specifically mentioned that GoW was just Ryse with with a Norse spin. So I went and played Ryse afterward and holy crap, it was really eerie how similar the gameplay was.
