Cashing in on the popularity of games is perhaps as old as games itself but there are so many beloved titles out there that never got the sequels they so rightly deserved, so in this article we'll take a look at five games we would kill for.

Square Enix launches Final Fantasy X 25th anniversary site, revealing new Nomura art, books, music releases, and merchandise.
Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.
They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

A brutal reset, a smarter story, and a return to what made it great—Mortal Kombat (2011) revived the series.
15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.

Why did Sony push Shuhei Yoshida out of his role leading PlayStation's first-party games? He'd overseen some huge successes. Well, apparently, he didn't listen.
Yeah I can see that for sure. Shuhei Yoshida should have been in charge not Jim Ryan.
More confirmation that Jim Ryan is the culprit for what has happened to Sony. Hulst needs to go too. What sucks is that a lot of the good top heads at Sony are no longer there. I wish that guys that were forced out prematurely by Dumbo Jimbo like Shuhei and Layden came back.
Makes you wonder if MS even thought about hiring him after Phil and Sarah were leaving. He certainly couldn't make their situation any worse.
All the gamer/consumer lead heads are gone across PS and Xbox. shuhei gone phil's gone (questionable) but gone. The future of gaming is somewhat uncertain across the board.
i just gotta jump in and add that this article says alan wake is coming for xbox360 & ps3...butwe all know that its only on xbox and pc
THESE are the five sequels that NEED to be made? Is whomever wrote this article seven years old? Have they played a video game made before 2002? Max Payne THREE over a sequel to, say, Kid Icarus? Carmageddon 2 over, I don't know, anything. Soldier of Forune over, let's just take a stab, FALLOUT 3?
These sorts of articles are usually fun because they stir up a sense of nostalgia for the GREAT games. Given that I'm staring at the case for Max Payne 2 right now, I don't know if I'd consider that a sequel that NEEDS to be made.
There isn't even one that is "sort of" an interesting or creative choice. I would imagine they are just the only games the author has purchased over the pasy couple years.
Kingpin and Soldier Of Fortune were great games for their time and next generation version of those type games witht he realistic violence and gore would be awsome with the technology available. And for people that are against violent video games just dont buy them. Its very simple
Yea, Max Payne over Kid Icarus? If any game needed a sequal it was that one. Oh haow about a new Battletoads, Kights of the Round, Gunstar Heroes, Duck Hunt, Earthbound, Bonk, Vectorman,Intellegent Cube, Antisapation, Super Puzzle Fighter,KaBoom, M.U.L.E. (Yay green flapper), Double Dragon,Golvellius, and many many others
next-gen Contra. nuff said.
