Here are some new screenshots for SpaceEngine, a freeware space simulation software that lets you explore the universe in three dimensions, starting from planet Earth to the most distant galaxies. Areas of the known universe are represented using actual astronomical data, while regions uncharted by astronomy are generated procedurally. Millions of galaxies, trillions of stars, countless planets – all available for exploration

The Indie Game Website writes: "If you’re the kind of person who plays No Man’s Sky or Elite: Dangerous primarily to explore and see what each new solar system holds, SpaceEngine is a cheaper, lighter, but also more technologically impressive take on the same experience. As a bonus, it also makes for a good astronomy tool."

Vladimir Romanyuk has released a new version of his free space simulation and 3D astronomy game/program, SpaceEngine.
This game is basically a space themed screensaver simulator, i just want to take a screenshot every 5th second!
So beautiful

Space Engineers has hit early access on Steam, and Pure|News decided to create a preview article about the game.
Wow those screenshots are beautiful. Imagine playing in that environment on a oculus rift.
I wish Carl Sagan was here to see this
It is nice have had a great time exploring.
That looks awesome. Those large surface environments remind me of Mass Effect 1, ah the good old days. I hope the new one has large sandbox environments to explore and do more things than ME1, I miss that open world atmosphere and feel.
