ok that was one of the most ignorant comments i've seen on here. that was like one of those comments where the person doesn't really know what thier talking about but they just ramble on saying something based off of what you've seen last year from ps3/360 multiplat games and then automatically reflecting them on this years games assuming that its going to be the same scenerio.

ok firstly, how could rockstar develope for the ps3 version WHEN THE DEV KITS WEREN'T EVEN SENT TO THEM in order to develope on the ps3. and they HAD to start working on the game so they used the 360 first since the dev kits were obviously already there.

second, about you saying all games have been looking better on the 360 last year. well no sh!t there going to look better when all the games had to be ported over to the ps3 withen a few months time. and dev's still never got the feel of the ps3 architecture yet because sony sent dev kits late.

PS3 is meant to conquer and it will by this summer it's official Sony is going to takeover.

I think people are forgetting the 360 alreayd has a great library of games for it plus they still have a great line up this year. There are still a lot of people that want to play GoW , Halo 3, Bioshock , Mass Effect, Forza 2 and other 360 exclusives. With GTA 4 being on both system I think people are going to be looking to get the most out of what they buy. The other thing is the 360 has a much larger use base already especially in the us where gta 4 will sell the most. People are also goin to pick up what ever system their friends have so they can play online with them.

Sony than Microsoft. Your choices are GTA IV with no downloadable content or GTA IV with downloadable content you may not be able to play due to RRoD.

strategy really if sony really wants to win this battle here in the u.s let alone the u.s itself, than i truly believe they would have to surprise many potential buyers, with a nice 100 price drop on the 40gb model. now please do note that this will bring the ps3 within wii range or close to it, which will than drive up sales, since of course the ps3 is also a blu ray player and the games that are to come after this month starting with haze and followed by others like mgs4 will help their cost.

i mean m$ played their cards right, i mean they knew they were getting their you know what kicked in Europe so they price drop their machine, to stop the bleeding. now sony isn't really bleeding in the u.s but it should try and stop m$'s momentum here in the u.s and what better way to do it than with a $100 price drop on GTA4 launch day.

and perhaps get exclusives on action and rpg games for japan this way the number of units will really start flying, now i just wish monster hunter 3 was ps3 exclusive now that would really give sony's machine a good boost ill say.

oh yeah and sony really needs to in my opinion give us gamers not just here in the u.s but every where else as well, in-game xmb. and i don't mean playing custom soundtracks in racing games or sending messages while in games, but also the ability to cross chat, one player plays resistance while the other plays mgs4 and yet are able to chat with one another without having to visit a 3d space to do so or quitting and game or the need to play the same games.

i want voice mails, video messages, alert sounds as to when i do get these messages.

in-game friend invite, i shouldn't have to quit or even call a friend via a phone line to do this, sony should know this is a must.

in-game massaging same as above same deal.

and if they are truly going forward with this trophy system than i would also love it for them to give us the ability to access these without having to quit or leave a game simple.

one other thing i should make mention off, is that sony should put the same effort and ambition it did and has so far with blu ray on its game division and most importantly on its online and network infrastructure. and while i do know that they are trying and working on some of these things, i will also say that xbox live wasn't always as good as it is now, it started broken up into pieces and than as time went on they used that same feedback from people and made it into what it is today maybe sony should take note of this and release in-game xmb already if not parts of it and follow ms's step and improve gradually little by little, no rush right?

also i strongly feel sony should focus more on how to go about bundles and such, personally i think they should stop bundling games and extra controllers with every other box, and instead invest that lost in smaller ones instead but yet more significant ones instead. like for example, how about including a 10 buck HDMI cable in every box? a 20 psn card? and an official playstation blutooth headset which is said to be coming with socom: confrontation? bundle these items instead of games and some controllers, heck they would be doing themselves and many of us a favor, thus getting gamers to try and play more online games rather than wonder off. im just saying if sony can push blu ray on people than they shouldn't have a problem pushing their products in the same manner either. just saying. wanna bundle a game? fine, bundle everything just mentioned above plus the eye of judgment this way people can too make use of the ps eye (with the ps eye of course), thus preventing it from becoming an obsolete item. and the same would go for a game like singstar online, you know don't just bundle ps3's with a game like motorstorm or heavenly sword sigh... which by the way these games themselves should be retailing for discounted prices and not full retail prices like they currently are, i mean what ever happened to greatest hits?

but my point here is the ps3 shouldn't have to be blu ray's crutch, but instead a crutch for many of sony's owned properties and products and not just blu ray. and believe me i love blu ray but hey. just my opinion thats all. to me m$ is taking the ps2 approach this generation you know, where sony got and hustle a large percentage of the 3rd party exclusives including adding their own to the mix as well. since sony has now built its own studios with so much richness and talent, to them they feel they don't really need to go back and take the ps2 strategy anymore or at least not as much. but i honestly feel they should this way games like resident evil 5 or even COD5 and GTA5 would take the role and cover those gaps known as droughts, but anyways maybe there is a logical reason why Phil Harrison resigned but i guess we will never know for sure. sorry for going off topic, but i just had to get this one out of my chest for a second.

but back on topic, yeah sony should really consider a price drop now, and when the newer chips arrive they can you know start recouping their loses then, as 300 bucks will be easy to handle come Christmas time. now just imagine a price drop just a day before GTA4 launches now how crazy would that be? i don't know you all tell me. but again just my opinion.

this is a rant to sony or anything of the sort, as i cater them more than i do both ninty and microsoft, but im just expressing my thoughts on recent matters of course. again just my opinion.
