1MC writes: It’s no secret that I love the Mega Man series, but who doesn’t? During the glory days of the NES there was one king of jumping and shooting, and that was Mega Man. My entire online persona was based on my favorite robot master of all time, Wood Man, who will be excluded from this list. Nevertheless, Mega Man is one of the greatest series of all time.
There were six fantastic games on the original Nintendo, one on the Super Nintendo, one on the Playstation/Saturn, and finally two released for download on current gaming consoles. I beat them all. Sure there are dozens of spinoffs and other Mega Man series, but I’ll just be looking at for this list.
So that’s it, I’m finally going to count down my favorite robot masters of all time.
Sorry if you were expecting Bionic Commando.
Actions speak louder than words. Show me a new Mega Man game that isn't a collection of games I played yesteryear. If they can churn out some kind of RE game every other year they can make a new Mega Man entry. It's not like it's known for its deep stories.
I can see DMC, but the others just weren't built for that without some major adjustments on how they're played.
If they make the right choices and right kinds of games, the Mega-Man IP could potentially be made into an animated film or streaming series like the success of Mario and Sonic. Surely that thought may have crossed their minds? Or am I being silly? I mean there is a lot more water to go under the bridge for them to even start considering that. But I used to be a big mega-man fan back in the day. I'd love to see it happen.
It’s being done on purpose just to destroy inafune . It’s some pride stuff on the inside .
Just like the guys said . I’ll believe it when I see it . Even the shareholders are asking questions regarding Megaman . I don’t want to sound ludacris but I have a strong conviction that the heads at Capcom are purposely holding the Megaman IP down because of their grudge and spite towards inafune on some deeper Japanese honour code stuff . It’s deeper than we think . You can tell something isn’t right .
Well i hope DMC is being worked on. Either a remake of 1 or 6 will do.
And bring back Megaman X. Either regular, command mission or make it a Metroidvania since silksong is so popular.
Capcom has recognized Mega Man as one of its most important IPs, and is looking towards further development of the franchise in the future.
Next megaman game will run on Pragmata engine they’re just gonna swap out Hugh and Diana for megaman but they literally function the same . You’ll be able to lock into enemies and uses your thrusters to dodge in all direction and as you advance you’ll get upgrade for double thruster jump , front and back dash etc . Great game
Its just a bit dated now...the pic above its the 90's....maybe a slight revamp would be good, now what that would look like would be interesting
Capcom is planning to develop brand new titles in the Mega Man franchise on an ongoing basis in the future.
Question is always going to be what are you going to do with it? Capcom has burnt mega man fans many a time and trust is low overall so I think a bold new direction may not be the best idea unless it's backed with a sonic mania style project alongside it.
I could see a bold new 3d take on the Willy wars alongside a mania style game being very popular.
Just keep it far away from Live services and loot boxes

........I think they could pull off a MetroidVania Mega Man.
Even better: make it Megaman X, but in a pre-X7 style.
Or maybe do what Nintendo did with Metroid. Go from a 2D platformer to a 3D game, like Metroid Prime.
Sounds like a plan Capcom. Just don't forget the disc. Also I think alot of the mega man base would love to see a return of the rpg
You know... I realy think a MM game that plays like ratchet and clank can work great! Mega Man can be very light hearted and family friendly, something for everyone If they use a formula similar to Ratchet and Clank, i realy want to see Capcom giving It a try.
