But does it only support 11.1 DX or is DX 11.0 supported to?

Windows 8 is a great os for tablets, got the surface. But I don't really recommend upgrading to 8 for pc (my opinion)

11.1 my ass microsoft trying the same crap they tried with cysis and vista and someone hacked the extra graphics detail into the xp version a few months later. I played both versions of crysis and only the water and light shafts looked a little better but overall you could hack the game and make it look the same its just PR BS and it just hurts consumers overall.

That's great news. I know windows 8 is actually good but I'm a windows 7 user.

Source Engine runs on Windows 98.

Windows 7 is here to stay for a while. Most PC gamers I know are using windows 7. This game looks sick.

I don't know what MS is thinking when they designed Windows 8, not all computer display are touch screen. I agree, Windows 7 is here to stay, for me it's the most stable OS that is familiar to use. If productivity is your priority, Win 7 is the way to go.

I love windows 7. Windows 8 just isn't my thing. I think MS should have only kept windows 8 on their tablet and phones. They didn't give windows 7 enough time before releasing 8.

Windows 8 is GARBAGE. Even if you have a Touch Screen Monitor it's still Garbage!

This Month alone I had people Buy brand new Laptops that came with Win8 and they installed Win7 over it.

Microsoft tying in every New DirectX version with Windows OS is why the Gaming Industry is rapidly moving away from Microsoft as a whole.

.DX10 had to buy Vista, Vista and DX10 both SUCKED
.DX11 had to buy Win7, Win7 and DX11 both are great
.DX11.1 had to buy Win8, Win8 sucks imho and DX11.1 is more so for Dev tool updates than actual game performance so it's NOT worth it.

But that whole DX10-Vista fiasco slowed down progress as Devs just stuck with DX9 because DX10 was BLOATED and No one liked Vista

I have a few people that had me install windows 7 over 8 for them. They hate 8.

I hope they are also looking to make it for Linux/SteamOS... EA's probably going to make OriginOS, and it will be exclusive to that /s.

Although the late 2000s Turok wasn't my favorite, I would love a new entry. Open world survival with shotguns and dinosaurs. Not sure how we'd get the fusion cannon, but that would be pretty sweet too.

Lol

All of these games are pretty much universally praised. Outside of Timeshift I literally own all of these.

Venoxn4g1343d ago (Edited 1343d ago )

XIII, The Darkness 2, Far Cry: Blood Dragon, Timesplitters: future perfect, Bulletstorm are awesome games

I played them all, they are all good in their own way
I used to be obsessed with FPS games

An ode to Titanfall: The last twitch shooter I'll probably ever enjoy

Windows Central: "Titanfall 1 is being sunset, taken off storefronts by EA. While the servers remain live for now, one has to wonder just how much time it has left. I look back and pay tribute to the last "twitch"-styled shooter I ever truly loved."
