Game Reviews Suck

The Late Night Gamer: We’ve all played a bad game before. Whether it was a game with really cool box art you bought on a whim or a crappy movie tie-in that your mom got you for Christmas, it’s happened to all of us. That’s why the smart game consumer always looks at reviews before dropping $60 on a new game. One of the best reviewed games that has come out recently is Grand Theft Auto V. But because we can’t go two weeks without the internet doing something stupid, there was actually a petition to fire a reviewer who had the audacity to give this game only a 9 out of 10. And I don’t even want to get into all the controversy that’s around MetaCritic. When you look at all this, you can see that there’s something wrong with the way we review video games. Thankfully, this is a problem I think we can tackle.
