This game must in the same vault with the FF7 remake. Maybe its like a time capsule, where Square will hold on to the outdated technology then release the PSP/DS version in 5 years.

Then label the game "the complete masterpiece...." with a sticker on the box showing this:

この吸盤を買う

Translation: You are a sucker, give me your cash.

Did they lift the cease and desist order or something? Because I was pissed when they stopped the guys from making this.

I would buy it for ANY console they released it for. Preferably the PS3.

I own a Wii but wouldnt really want it for that.

This game would make me buy a console regardless of my console preference, meaning, I am not a MS fan, but I would RUN out to buy a 360 if this game was on the horizon.

Chrono Trigger is my ALL TIME FAVORITE GAME.

green button? maybe it's the power led of the PS3

and no, it's not a "dream building" for the PS3/360, it's an old building made for PC but the project was crushed by Squaresoft back in the '04 long before the 360. so don't think in a building for current consoles, maybe it will come for handhelds like DS/PSP

Skerj6514d ago (Edited 6514d ago )

Hah no, this was being made for the PC long before the 360 was released. Square issued a Cease and Desist order and halted production. It's using the original Xbox controller IIRC.

Evildoomnerd6514d ago (Edited 6514d ago )

Thanks for clarifying that. Come to think of it, a portable remake would be even better! But I won't get my hopes up too high.

How the DMCA Laws Put Indie Developers at Risk

Filing a false DMCA claim costs nothing, requires no proof, and can destroy an indie game's launch in minutes. Fighting back can cost tens of thousands of dollars and take weeks (if you can afford it at all).

Copyright is copyright. DMCA is a good thing that protects creators IP., revenue and usage. and you can absolutely appeal a wrongful DMCA takedown. It’s happened to me. Was easily resolved.

....I don't feel like you read the article, at all.

it's a good thing, but it's also long been reported, across a variety of industries and websites, that currently the system is ripe for and full of abuses. From fair use strikes, to matters like the one reported in this article. It's clear the law needs some tooth to punish bad actors and that parameters need to be set in how reports are filed; ie human review of said content and not some AI bot false flagging stuff. As is the system is far to easily abused by those who have motive to suppress and flag content they have no business or right to.

Commentby6d ago

No system will ever be perfect, but there needs to be a review, unless it blatant.

Nevers0ft5d ago

Until there's genuine consequences for this type of abuse, it'll keep happening across all media. DMCA is in principle a good thing, but it needs an overhaul.

Video Game Stocks Plunge on Fears Google's Genie 3 Will Replace Game Engines

When Google unveiled Genie 3, an AI that generates explorable 3D worlds from simple text prompts, investors responded by dumping video game stocks en masse—wiping out billions in market value in mere hours. But in their rush to flee, Wall Street confused "playable environments" with actual video games, ignoring the technology's hard limits while threatening the human creativity that makes games worth playing. As the industry faces a future of automated mediocrity driven by shareholder demands, the panic reveals a deeper truth: investors aren't betting on better games, just cheaper ones.

same level of fear that gen ai will replace art ... it is a tool that will help to prototipize open world games, but to completelly substitute game engines ... we are still a long way from it

Duplicate story. Or does Christopher just remove xbox stories that are similar?

Humans have been developing things to simplify jobs since the beginning.
AI is going to remove the human factor from the job, but it can never replace all jobs that need a human factor.
I wish I could see the end of the story. What is the end, end goal, final piece, etc.
Is it a world run by machines, do humans live in a free world, does a dictator finally have an robot army, do humans finally free of working forever, does ChatGPT create an army to defeat Gemini., so many possibilities …
