DarkZero: Dark Sector Review

Positively, the game is awash with colour filters and some truly splendid graphics at times - if you can see them. The Glaive works well and is rather satisfying to use but this is offset by the old school use of ammo crates and parts of levels being sealing off, making it as linear as they come. The game doesn't bore you but its only saved by Hayden's main weapon and that's really not enough. It is certainly worth a rental if you like first person shooters but you'll certainly feel short changed if you buy it.

"It is certainly worth a rental if you like first person shooters but you’ll certainly feel short changed if you buy it."

Please correct me if i'm wrong, but when was this a FPS...?

Also, I think this game is very underated, I'm on chapter 7 now and I have enjoyed every minute so far, very atmospheric, great graphics. ok a few minor glitches but nothing to write home about. The one frustration is when you get to boss battles and there is absolutely no mention or hint as to what to do! eg. once I was shotting a machine for ages and it wasn't dieing, a search on google enlightened me to the fact that you just needed to go behind it and climb on it. certainly higher than a 5, IMO

Here at Power Up Gaming, however, we’re not so keen to let go of the past. Originally starting out our coverage as primarily a retro games outlet, we take great pleasure in revelling in the titles of yesteryear."

This was a time when what would become the Wii was known only as the mysterious “Revolution.” The 7th Generation of video game consoles hadn’t even begun and we already received a taste of what was on the horizon with a video released by Digital Extremes."

That's interesting, They approached Sony with ideas several times, since they are independent, I wished Sony would have published one of their ideas as an exclusive! I loved Dark Sector, even the original concept of the game! Going to see about Warframe at launch.
