The gaming industry is focusing more and more on indie development, but more often than not the creations coming out the community tend to be of a similar breed; retro-platformers.
Argentinian developer OPQAM is trying to change all that with its upcoming title Project Root. Co-Founder of OPQAM sat down with Brian Sharon of The Vita Lounge to talk about his game and the SHMUP genre.

OPQAM's DOGOS aims to blend a retro SHMUP feel with new technology. How does it fare? Find out what GTUK's Max Maybee thinks in his review.

PurePlaystation writes: OPQAM, the developer of DOGOS, tells us their game is a fusion of the old and the new; an attempt to inject modern graphics and an open world feel into the classic sh’mup formula. For the small development studio based in Buenos Aires, it’s a bold claim to make. Can the game live up to their claims?
