Four reason why Elder Scrolls Online is going to be awesome

By now everyone who is at least somewhat into the Elder Scrolls series or MMO gaming has heard some of the hype surrounding the Elder Scrolls Online. This new MMO from Bethesda and ZeniMax promises to bring the best things about the Elder Scrolls series and online gaming and combine them all in a fashion that has the potential to make a huge impact in the highly competitive MMO scene. The big question everyone is asking themselves is; are they going to be able to deliver? While it is too early to definitively answer this seeing as the game is still in close beta, everything we do know points to this game being the next big thing in online gaming. Now what exactly do we know? Below are the four reasons why this game is going to be awesome.

and then one gigantic reason that it won't: 15 bucks a month on top of the retail price.

Is this gonna be X-platform?

Aaaand three reason why i won't support it.
1. Pay for the game
2. Pay monthly
3. Micro transactions

Ugh, micro transactions... I wonder how much they're going to charge us for horse armor?

Lexanth4485d ago

Like FFXIV A Realm Reborn, but there are too many supporting it. I wonder why? I thought you should know. :)

No micro transactions in FFXIV. There's no damn store in FFXIV.

Lol I love ppl that want everything for free.

Feralkitsune4485d ago

Not free, just they have shown NOTHING that makes this game look like it's worth a subscription. If anything they've shown why it shouldn't have one. It looks like WoW clone with clunky first person action thrown in. And lore that seems like it was written by someone who has no idea what the fucking Elder Scrolls game universe is about.

Who said anything about getting everything for free? It's completely stupid to pay for a game more than once. I would gladly pay the €$£60 for it, heck i would even pay 100 if i would get the actual game and all the content and not just bits and small pieces of it which i would have to pay for the rest of my time playing. The F2P model is cruel and so is micro transactions, people should not support it.

I give you one more reason, why it wont be as good as its predecessors. Because I really wonder, how they want to keep the game like an Elder Scrolls have always been, but make it an MMORPG. The way you skill, the way it determines, who is stronger or weaker, the use of spells, the way where and how you find certain items... this all has to be changed, to be MMORPG capable and at the same time, it will change everything, that made Elder Scrolls such a wonderful game, but it looks like it will be like a WoW in the Elder Scrolls Universe and the Elder Scrolls Universe, is actually not, what made Elder Scrolls so special, it was its gameplay and what you were able to do. In world of Warcraft, there the Universe, where all happens, is mostly what counts, but in Elder Scrolls it is more the way of gaming...
