A few weeks ago I wrote an article discussing the positive evidence on display for The Elder Scrolls Online following the understandably poor Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn launch. Recently we’ve seen another big console launch with an MMO-esque approach with Grand Theft Auto Online but sadly this time the outcome doesn’t look as positive for The Elder Scrolls Online. If you’re already questioning my sanity for comparing The Elder Scrolls Online with Grand Theft Auto Online I don’t blame you, but please give me a minute of your time before tossing me to the wolves.

A new age for The Elder Scrolls Online is about to begin!
I think people generalize too much. I just think there's just a small vocal community who people think make up the whole console community. So if the Elder Scrolls Online does have launch problems, it'll be the same vocal community who'll have an outcry.
I think Elder Scrolls Online and other MMO's have a bright future on consoles and we shouldn't let the opinions of a few dampen our hopes.
Has there ever been a GOOD online launch?
I sure can't remember one.
