With Ubisoft struggling of late, they have a massive world of franchises just sitting there, begging to be utilized and help right the ship
After the way they’ve dragged Tom’s name through the mud with their garbage games I really hope they never use it again. They will hopefully be shut down soon and we won’t have to deal with their trash.
Why does a company have to shut down, you can just make the decision not to deal with them.
They put themselves in this situation. Shit company making shit games. Maybe if they made something other than copy paste far cry 3/assassins creed the past decade they would be in a better spot.
I mean they do make plenty of decent games, the assassin's creed games for instance are generally good games and actually have changed quite abit over the past decade. 10 years ago they released black flag and watch dogs one - the latter of which was actually rather underrated imo. The following year they released unity which was unfortunately very buggy at launch, this was then followed two years later BY AC Syndicate. Both of which were quite different to the AC's that came before or the ones that would come after. Watch dogs 2 came out around then and did reasonably well, rainbow six siege released and also has very much been successful. Splinter cell blacklist was released around 10 years ago and did well. The divion 1 released in 2015 and did pretty well and was a solid game. It was followed by the division 2 a few years later which was an event better game. The far cry series are too similar to each other but 4, prehistoric, 5, 5.5, and ,6 have all released in past decade and 4 and 5 were decent games. Then we got AC origins and AC Valhalla which were a total reinvention of the assassins creed franchise..... AC shadows will be following in their footsteps and it's expected that after shadows the next entry in a few years time will drastically mix things up. Both ghost reckons have ended up excellent games albeit at launch they had issues. Ubisoft's issue is it has a tendency to rush games out in an unfinished state and spends too long on games it ought to cancel before cancelling them. (Division heartlands for example). They do often play it too safe and in some instances make their games unnecessarily large and full of bloat for the sake of it. That said I thoroughly enjoyed most of the assassins creed games of recent years.
In the mid-to-late 2000s, Tom Clancy dominated modern military gaming. With a new Splinter Cell coming, it's worth revisiting the series' golden age.
Love Rainbow Six Vegas, my Resistance Fall of Man clan moved to that game and had a blast.

Do you know what Splintercell Essentials was? It was a PSP exclusive SC game never put on any other console. It was a decent SC game. They need to remaster it for current consoles. The Playstation Portable is a old handheld. It's time this exclusive psp SC gets Remastered with better controls

I know what SC Essentials was. But its way past its time for it to be remastered. The PSP games that needed remastering got remastered for the PS3 or 360.
I doubt UbiSoft'll go back to retouch handheld games instead of their mainline titles. They'd rather put effort on Pandora Tomorrow or Chaos Theory instead.

"needed remastering" ~ as in publisher deemed those fit for remastering. I didn't say all PSP titles got remastered.
Ain't saying Essentials is an underwhelming game.
Similarly, I really wanted MGS Peace Walker for the home consoles and well, it got remastered by BluePoint for PS3/X360 a year later.
Doubt they would remaster a game halfway through the series. From memory, many of the missions were from previous games anyway.
What am I saying? Expecting a new/remastered splinter cell is a stretch. It’s probably that multiplayer crossover game that was rumoured a couple of months back.
Based on this teaser it's some kind of division spin-off maybe. You can see the rogue icon at the 5 second mark but this game looks like a CoD knockoff and possibly f2p?
The original Ghost Recon still holds as my personal favorite.
