GB: "Much has been said about the PlayStation 4's 8 GB GDDR5 RAM - how much of it can be used for games, if it truly makes the console next-gen, and more. Given how there will be plenty of games this coming generation to take advantage of Unity, we thought to get the opinion of Unity CEO's David Helgason on the matter."

Beginning next year, Unity developers will gain access to Fortnite's vast platform and creator economy.

Unity will be 'co-developing' the Nintendo Switch 2 port of PGA Tour 2K25

In latest financial report, Unity renewed bets on AI-driven tools to make game development "ever more accessible" for non-devs and to help with discovery.
That doesn't even make sense. I read/watch a lot of sci-fi, and nobody is ever developing games. Ender Wiggin plays games... that's about it.
It's awesome, yes. But.... sci fi? Come on. Does that mean PCs can traverse the multiverse?
The PS4 is what I would imagine James T Kirk would play in his private quarters!
People are always going to say nice things about the most popular console.
It's where they plan to make the most cash.
What matters is what you actually see in the form of games. I am pretty sure the articles on here showing many developers struggling to hit the 1080p/60 frame industry standard in 2013 speaks for itself.
This isn't even about creating an argument. Really isn't. I just feel all of these wank-bait articles need to be put into perspective. If this is magic tech from the gods, why are we already seeing developers make cuts to what they are doing? The need for "console optimization" shouldn't be this apparent out of the gate. Not when using already established engines from the last couple years.
I am planning on rolling out the next generation of Internet from Sci-Fi. It is called the Astra-Web. The technology is proven. Computers will connect to the Astral Plane in order to communicate. Zero lag time or latency.

Intersting.
