Lol i tricked out a truck to upgrade armour 100%, spent 15 minutes driving it up to mnt. Chilliad then see how long i lasted before blowing up. Great fun haha.

I also havet successfully completed the mnt chilliad challenge, drive down the side of the mountain on a sanchez. Tried loads of times annoying me so much. :(
Also the cheats - a minigun with explosive bullets on and the car actually flies away from the force as it blows up! I love gta V.

I've been wondering about this. I remember when GTA4 came out and all the 10/10 reviews and blah blah blah but when I finally played it...it got boring really quick.

I'd like to give GTA5 a shot but I can't help wondering if it's more of just the same old.

From what I hear, doesn't sound like it.

i prefered IV to V. V is lacking something tangible. Feels more like a facade even if it's prettier.

After you get Trevor it goes down hill for some hours, it's horrible AND boring playing him - like pew pew central. The game started promising with Franklin and Michael. I wish they had left trevor out and just had 2 characters and ramped up what THEY could do. It's all token gestures and really silly additional stuff (yoga? tennis? fun for about 3 seconds!).

Missions are really boring, and the freeform play is lacking vs past GTAs (inc IV). Liberty City felt more lived in and less fake too. Also I prefered the role of Nico, and there was a sense of arriving and discovering the City. In V it's all exposition and back story before really mundane fetch/give/chase missions.

Cutscenes are ok but the game relies too heavily on them. You are either doing a mission or you are driving around without much incentive to do anything other than look at the graphics... then boredom sets in. Gameplay on this game isn't great but the city is very nice and there's lots to see, but like any visit, it's only good the first time if there's nothing to do!

What I don't get is that some people believe the won't purchase a new console as GTA5 will keep them entertained for that long.

The game is great but like every game, its appeal gets stale after a while unless the multiplayer is good.

I got bored fast in GTA IV but GTA V is a lot better. But to do some things you have to wait and get certain weapons. I'm still trying to figure that part out. There's plenty to do in GTA V but you do need to play a while to really get started.

Monkey you also may of read too many easteregg and "secret" locations on the internet. By knowing what is out there in the wilderness, it ruins the point of exploring.

From now, I now will not read any articles about "cool stuff" until after i beat the game in case I missed something.

RDR was boring, for all the open space that game had, there was way less stuff to do than what's available in GTA V.

And this talk of implausible is laughable, considering majority of stuff done in GTA is HIGHLY implausible.

Video games shouldn't try to appease the realism fanboys, it's supposed to be an escape, not a chore.
