Hatsune-Miku4616d ago (Edited 4616d ago )

Next gen games are also only found on ps4 and ps4 is the only next gen console and not a next gen set top box

hey there troll. reported for trolling, have a nice day

GribbleGrunger4616d ago (Edited 4616d ago )

He might want to throw in improved Sixaxis as a unique feature of the controller too:

1/ Share button
2/ Light bar
3/ Speaker
4/ Touch pad
5/ Sixaxis
6/ Improved rumble

He made a mistake with Driveclub though. That comes free with PS+ and isn't a FTP game, but other than that he was spot on.

IcicleTrepan4616d ago

share button is nothing unique for the controller. It's just a button, in fact it's just select button with a new name. The cool part of it is all implemented in the PS4 itself and really doesn't have anything to do with the controller. You could leave the button named Select and it could still do the same stuff.

DeadManIV4616d ago

does the xbox one have a share button?

Thehyph4616d ago (Edited 4616d ago )

Except that the share button is dedicated to that feature whereas the select button could do anything within a game. I think the touch click will be more like select.

I'm glad there isn't a start button anymore, Vita has me trained on using the PS button to pause. The start button on Vita really is just for options it feels.

That's a good thing, because the PS button will pause ANYTHING. Even the loading screen you're on while waiting to get to something classically pause-able.

SuperWeeb4616d ago

@steve

I completely agree with your thoughts on the start button... I'm finding the PS button a whole lot more convenient as I can quickly multitask while I pause. And unless it's a really old game, it'll resume instantly.

I like what sony is doing with f2play games, if it will stay unique to ps4 only time will tell, also like the way games and apps are not behind pay wall.

Hardware wise he could have mentioned other things like the incorporated power brick, the ability to setup your console vertical, the rechargeable battery of the controller and the 3,5 mm headphone jack. That said he did mentioned the touch pad. If do not believe the improved rumble is unique to the ps4 but more so for the xb1.

Halochampian4616d ago

I don't know if Improved Rumble should be a unique feature considering the Xbox One is also improving rumble with their rumble triggers.

Yes, it is a feature in of its own but it's not a feature unique to the ps4 because both consoles have improvements

GribbleGrunger4616d ago (Edited 4616d ago )

On the X1 you have rumble in the triggers. On the PS4 you have improved rumble that is able to give the impression of water or ball-bearings rolling around in your hands. There has been no mention of improved rumble in the X1, just that it's also on the triggers now. So I'd say that it's a unique feature.

Of course the rumble in the triggers would be a unique feature of the X1, but that will probably be mentioned when he gives us his list for that console.

mewhy324616d ago

That was really interesting. Much of it I already knew but was very informative non the less.

JimmyLmao4616d ago (Edited 4616d ago )

I really really dislike this guy, The Red Dragon. A Decent video though

KHATL664616d ago

LOVE LOVE LOVE the new controller. Can't wait to get it in my hands. Heard nothing but good things about it. I owned both PS3/XBox 360 and after long hours of gaming the xbox controller always left some pain in my fingers whereas the PS3 did not. The things I did not like about the PS3 controller it looks like they made right with the PS4. Looks like a perfect controller and a perfect system. Can't wait!

yarbie10004616d ago

I'll be honest, the controller is the one aspect i'm worried about with the PS4. I love love LOVE the Xbox controller. I never have liked the PS3 controller due to where the joysticks are located.

If I could have a Xbox controller with the PS4 - i'd be much happier. I have large hands, and the PS controller has never felt right to me. Hopefully I can go to a game store and pick one up though to try it out.

kizzle324616d ago (Edited 4616d ago )

I have large hands as well and the PS3 controller doesn't ever leave me feeling like its "too small" only after playing my 360 for a bit. Now, the DS4 controller definitely looks beefier than the DS3 so I am really hoping that is the case. Pictures and comparisons definitely say so, but I really want to hold the controller personally and am very excited to do so!

EDIT: Also here is a picture of the DS4 next to the Xbone Controller...it looks larger than the Xbone Controller in this pic which makes me very happy!

DeadManIV4616d ago

its bigger now, but i have big hands too and im fine with the ps3 controller - i was born and raised with the dualshock

Joe9134616d ago

From what I heard from ppl during E3 and Gamescon that even the xbox fans like the ps3 controller and think it is way better than the ps3 controller. And my friend has a wireless xbox looking controller for his ps3 so I'm sure they will make one for the ps4 if you still do not like the new controller.

They for sure chose the worst way to deal with it

-Foxtrot17d ago

Funny considering Bruce left half way through development and now we get told there was an internal conflict with the story direction.

Makes you think…

HectixRose18d ago

I think it was good decision, if he was still alive, he would have been a mascot just like Kratos, drake and many others. These old dudes gotta die for new characters to take center stage with their own storyline. They keep dragging the emotional baggage into many sequels and eventually the story just turns into absolute shit show.

JEECE18d ago

It was ironic because people complained heavily about the story in the Uncharted games not having sufficient stakes because all the key characters always survived, despite the dangerous situations they were always in. Then ND killed a character in a more serious series and everyone lost their minds. Just shows that people don't always really want the thing they say they want.

CantThinkOfAUsername17d ago

I thought the more common complaint about Uncharted franchise was how the main cast are the good guys acting so nonchalantly while killing hundreds in cold blood (aka the dissonance between gameplay and story cutscenes). They just did it again in Part II.

Soy18d ago

Didn't have to kill him. Just have them part ways or Joel can "retire," whatever.

DarXyde17d ago

I don't think he would necessarily need to become a mascot (and besides, technically, I'd say Ellie is... So regardless, someone was going to be).

From a narrative perspective, I do think it has a similar effect to Ricky dying in Boyz N Da Hood: very likeable character, and you're really motivated to see the get back—in this case, it's more intense because it's an interactive experience. Most people hated Abby, but I get what they were after with portraying the cycle of violence and revenge—unfortunately, the game appears to want to take the side of the bad people.

But I will say that if Joel survived, it does become harder to tell an interesting story. What COULD have happened is an exploration into the rift between Joel and Ellie after the trolley dilemma events of the first game. It could have been interesting to see Abby out for revenge at the same time Ellie hated Joel.

Ashunderfire8617d ago

Sorry just had to say this lol! RICKYYYY!

Man Cuba Gooding Jr was miscast in that movie, but that part was cringey it was sad and funny at the same time man.

Ashunderfire8617d ago (Edited 17d ago )

I understand but the way they went about killing Joel, was poorly executed. Even the show of the Last of Us games tried to improved it, but it was just as bad. Well at least Joel got to know the reason why he had to die, before the death happened in the show. That part gave us the full context, but the game just let it happen with no pay off.

Joel death should have been a midway thing through the story, so we at least get to play him a little more with Ellie. Abby didn’t need to be this Hulk looking woman, but more like the show Abby which is a beater idea in my opinion.

The only ND game that was so disappointing to me I couldn't finish it.

pwnmaster300018d ago

Honestly as much as I loved the game, they could have just not killed him off.
I get it creator vision and all but killing a character that made you millions is just wrong imo. At least have him go down fighting.

Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.

They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

solideagle18d ago

they should know that we are OG fans of VIII as it sold truckload as well. not as much as VII or X. I personally didn't like IX but X and VI are my personal fav.

Shadow Hearts 2 covenant is another game I love. I hope one day someone can make remake, I would be delighted

Final Fantasy VIII is great and you are always the first to defend it in the comments
