The Famitsu PS2 article, translated by IGN, confirms news that Ridge Racer 7 will offer the option to install part of the game to the PS3 hard drive. Up to 5GB of game data will be held on the hard drive to enable faster load times.
Teramoto also confirmed that there will be no distinct separation between offline and online game modes, with all the money and ranks won in the game applying to the game as a whole. RR7 matches the 14-player online races found in the Xbox 360's RR6.
Not one to blow his own trumpet, Teramoto also expressed his pleasure to offer RR7 in 1080p, at 60fps and in 5.1, something he claims is only possible on the PS3.
Before your elbows turn to dust, let’s take a look at some PlayStation 3 games that have stood the test of time the best.
no beyond 2 souls or heavy rain god of war 3 uncharted 2 3 should got a mentioned
Whoever prepared this. Thanks for writing something meaningful for a change instead of the clickbait crap others do.
Ridge Racer 6 on the Xbox 360 played a lot better than Ridge Racer 7 on the PlayStation 3, which included Ridge Racer 6 tracks. Ridge Racer 6 was the last quality game in the series.
Replaying kz2, kz3, r1, r2, r3, kens rage 1 & 2, 3d dot game heroes etc. and they all aged beautifully. Also, playing these games in the hardest difficulty reminded me of how hard games were on the PS3. How I had such a love & hate relationship with these games.

Remakes and remasters have become a staple of this generation, and Ace Combat 7 Game Director Kazutoki Kono opened a couple of interesting polls on his Twitter account about two of Bandai Namco’s most classic series.
Give me every Ace Combat from 1 to 5 and any Ridge Racer will do. Flight Combat is my favorite genre, Ill take everything you can give me.
AC4 was my first experience not only of the series, but also my first PS2 game. Remember hammering it for hours at Xmas when I got it.
Would love to see it brought back :)
Eurogamer:
"December 3rd, 1994 - Sony launches the original PlayStation in Japan, bringing with it seismic shift in the nature of console gaming. The 2D era of sprites and bitmap art was coming to an end, with polygon-driven 3D the new standard in state-of-the-art visuals. The Sega Saturn launched a couple of weeks ahead of Sony's debut console, but it was the PlayStation that set the standard for technological innovation in this new era. Namco's Ridge Racer launched alongside the new hardware - and it was a revelation."
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiddgeeee Raaaaaaaaccceeeeeeeeeer, everyone!
Says Kaz. Never forget.
the space invader loading screen was great in that game, complete it all to unlock all the cars and the special black car. those were the days, no micro transactions to buy a faster car in those days.
please bandai-namco. bring these classics back with online multiplayer for psn and xbox live. the newer games are utter crap.
Damn! I completed this game 100% once. I got all the cars, did all the crazy challenges to unlock every last one of them. The Space invader thing, everything.
I just gotto say it: THOSE WERE THE DAYS!!! :))
Well the only possible at 1080p/60 is true up to Oct 31, 2006 at 1:00am. ;). Come on devs there are all the same, let's make some good games and save the mud slinging for politics.
but tell me shotty, what game do you know of on 360 that is 1080p native running at 60fps on 360?it's been a year and i'm still looking for one.
