Punching Beta: Star Wars: Battlefront and Battlefront 2 were the kinds of games from previous generations that, when you look back on them, they make you smile. It wasn’t the greatest Star Wars game series, no, but it was pure and simple fun. Running into a Battle as your favorite side’s troops is cool, flying their aircraft is cooler and blowing up a Star Destroyer from the inside out by flying in with your ship, while playing as your favorite side is the coolest. Since all the troubles with the third entry in the series, many had given up. But after E3 we all know that DICE is our only hope. As DICE is such a high-profile developer whose games tend to be high quality, what could they include in the game that would make the sequel even bigger than the two which have come before?
Lots of video games get canceled due to studio closures, lack of resources, and other issues, but we would have loved to play these 10 canceled games.
Not only was P.T. an awesome demo, but just the way it was dropped on us and eventually revealed as Silent Hills was one of those really special moments in gaming. I don't even want to be reminded of it now.
Konami screwed up. They could easily cut the Silent Hills ending cutscene and sell it for 5/10 bucks and I would easily buy it again. The demo was tons of fun and terrifying each time, I loved to make friends play
Plot Twist: PT was a tease, Silent Hills was fake, the Konami fallout was staged, and Death Stranding is actually Metal Gear Solid VI. 🤯 #kojimawoulddothis
That would be the long con to end them all, but I don't know if even Kojima would do all that. Then again, Metal Gear Solid 2 was a thing.
I just want a Getaway 3. I mean Sony has nailed the cinematic, open world genre for a while now. A return to the Getaway with the tech they got now would be so good
Six Days in Fallujah was a game I would have been interested to see how it would have turned out. SOCOM like tactical shooter with destructive environments. Lots of work on it and then it was just scrapped.
Assuming the apocalypse doesn’t happen then not only will we get a second chance, so should some games. With our new found love for life, let’s think about what we’d love to see get a spangly new reboot and a fresh chance to wow gamers.
I didn't see anything about Destroy All Humans. I'd love to see that IP come back in some form.
Destroy All humans was a fun IP. It will be nice if it came back. Honestly I think Haze should get a reboot.That IP had a lot of potential. Maybe have GG work on it.
That was a fun game... it be great on vita.
I still want a new psi ops, with current consoles I think the game would be amazing.

Prince of Persia and Silent Hill have both made appearances this gen however. Are broken.
I actually liked Downpour. It wasn't perfect by any means, but it didn't suck. Of the games on that list, Star Wars Battlefront is my most wanted. Damn shame what it's been through this gen with no release.
While it wasn't a Sony IP, I wouldn't mind a Wing Commander game again. It's been a while since I've seen a good space shooter like it. It even did choices that affected game play long before ME did.
Again .. Parasite eve , Tenchu , Onimusha , Haunting Ground and Fatal frame not on the list !?

Wow, what a rare occurrence for N4G, an actual worthwhile list read and great one at that. I completely agree with your list and would only add that a leveling mechanic for characters and customizable loadouts with attachments would also be a great addition to the game.
