It may seem like a strange decision to make Dead Rising 3 an exclusive, but the same happened when the original Dead Rising was first released on the Xbox 360.
Many first claimed that Dead Rising 3 had lost what made the series so great when it was initially announced. But having seen it close up, does this Xbox One exclusive have a positive impact on the series?

Dead Rising 3 has sold over 5 million copies, making it the top-selling game in the series despite being exclusive to Xbox One and PC.
This really needs a re-release. Enjoyed all 4 games with 3 probably being my second favourite.
Surprised this didn't get a Series S/X boost. I believe it's still locked to 30fps. Then again so is the PC version until you go into the .ini file and change it.

The Dead Rising series has enjoyed a long and storied history over the years, but which game in the series is best?

Over the last week, Jake has been going back to the Dead Rising 2 Off The Record remaster and has been an absolute blast. When he was 15 he first got his Xbox 360 and Dead Rising with it, it was unlike any other experience. It made him wonder though, what happened to the Dead Rising series.
Interesting timing. This retrospective was released just a few days ago: https://youtu.be/Et-cKSrWuc...
They took away the depth and charm of the game that made it fun and interesting, and made it into a generic zombie killing game.
This was the series the got me to buy an Xbox 360. The first one was so good. It still had horror elements. As it went on it became kind of a parody. Never forget getting Zombie Genecider achievement and then restarting the game to get the Mega Buster. That thing was monstrous against enemies.
Not a strange decision at all. The game had its start on Xbox One and I am glad they are focusing on one platform.
This is a day one buy for me (pre-ordered). I loved the original, didn't care for the sequel but I like the direction of this new one. I am glad they have a classic mode with the time limits. Only the newbs complained about it because it was "too hard"..
I enjoyed the one that came to ps3 for about 2 hours then i got bored of just running around the map from one place to the next killing zombies, I dont know much about DR3 but if the gameplay is the same thing ,build a weapon, smash zombies till the weapon breaks, save a couple ppl and take em back to the hideout then rinse repeat, i cant imagine i would want to play it.
This and Ryse are my most anticipated next gene titles . November 22nd cant come faster .
I want into this serious until dr2 came free to xbox live users. Man was i missing out! I'm glad to see the developers have gotten rid of loading, and the clunky controls and animations. This is going to be great!
