"When fans think next generation, the PS4 and Xbox One spring to mind. And, the Wii U, as that qualifies to fans as well. And, when innovation is mentioned — it's averse to, praised, warranted and opposed — all at the same time. Although, innovation can ring true, with new jobs and opportunities in abundance."

I think the only game here for me is Nine Sols. Was always interested in that game.
Good month for me, I wanted that particular footy game and thought it might be due. Anyway who cares, shame about the site I'll miss the comment sections. All the best everyone.
Naughty Dog was reportedly divided on the controversial fate of Joel in The Last of Us Part 2 during the game's development.
I think it was good decision, if he was still alive, he would have been a mascot just like Kratos, drake and many others. These old dudes gotta die for new characters to take center stage with their own storyline. They keep dragging the emotional baggage into many sequels and eventually the story just turns into absolute shit show.
Honestly as much as I loved the game, they could have just not killed him off.
I get it creator vision and all but killing a character that made you millions is just wrong imo. At least have him go down fighting.

Square Enix launches Final Fantasy X 25th anniversary site, revealing new Nomura art, books, music releases, and merchandise.
Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.
They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.
I think VR is pretty innovative. It gets us a lot more immersed in our games. Like.. a whole lot.
In this upcoming generation I really don't see to much in the way of innovation. Internet streaming services exist on tablets, phones, computers and most new tv's, them being on consoles is for convenience sake and hardly innovative.
Motion controlls are just refined versions of last gen that don't add much new besides finer detail and accuracy.
Internet gaming and features and gaming are possible this gen and while cloud services could add to gaming (both gaiki and azure each in their own way) they are limited by current bandwidth issues and are not accessible to everyone.
True innovation in a gaming device would come from some kind of deeper immersion or new way to experience and play games. Newer graphics are nice but hardly innovation.
We will see what the future brings and if this next gen can achieve anything innovative.
As for tv features, coming up with a way for people to break away from cable boxes and subscriptions would trully be innovative, if sony play the ps vita tv correctly and we get some kind of a la carte cable service where you only pay for channels you subscribe to available through the internet that would put them in an amazing position and would open up a huge new audience to the world of video games. Remote play from ps4 to anywhere is pretty epic to, that will revolutionize the way people travel with games.
