Thrustmaster TX Xbox One wheel will feature "super smooth and seamless force feedback"

VVV: "When Thrustmaster unveiled their TX wheel for the Xbox One, we were concerned about its apparent lack of force feedback from the teaser announcement.

Fortunately, our worries have been eradicated as Thrustmaster have released a small snippet from the full specification confirming that the TX will indeed feature force feedback in the form of an intriguing "industrial-class brushless motor" that will deliver a "super smooth and seamless force feedback effect" and "ultra responsive and realistic force effects."

400 dollars??? That is insane.

GiggMan4632d ago

Yeah that is bananas... It's also not confirmed to have a clutch pedal 0_o

This will be awesome for Forza 5. The most impressive racer for next gen.

UnholyLight4631d ago

Might as well tear it out of a real 458!

Nocando4631d ago

This will sell about 1000 units tops.

manchesterman224631d ago

no clutch or proper gear shifter so its a no go for me

UnholyLight4631d ago

It's a replica of the Ferrari 458 wheel, the 458 is a paddleshift only car. Duh

Me-Time4631d ago (Edited 4631d ago )

The only other X1 steering wheel as of yet is from Mad Catz and that doesn't have a clutch pedal. And it looks like it's going to be as expensive.

The real point is that Microsoft needs someone to launch an affordable steering wheel that features clutch shifting or they'll lose a lot of fans whose current steering wheels aren't compatible with the X1. If the only options at the launch of the X1 is a 458 replica (with no clutch pedal) and another steering wheel that doesn't have a clutch pedal, then they'll be alienating Forza from people who can't afford to spend 1,000 dollars (including taxes) to play FM5 on the X1 with a steering wheel - especially since there are only two steering wheels available, as of yet, that don't feature clutch shifting.

Boody-Bandit4631d ago (Edited 4631d ago )

Replica or not it should have a clutch pedal since it's supposedly the official Forza 5 wheel and Forza supports clutch and 6+1 shifters.

Why would any Forza fan that currently uses a complete setup want to spend more money just to go backwards? WTF was Turn 10 / MS and Thrustmaster thinking? Obviously they weren't. But than again Turn 10 could give or take wheel users. Their stance has primarily always been only a small percentage of our fans use a FFB wheel, pedal, shifter combo.

I will wait until a complete combo is made available before even considering to pick up an X1 or another Forza game.

UnholyLight4631d ago

I totally agree with both of you. I just was pointing out the only logical reason I could think they would do this..Haha.

Boody-Bandit4631d ago (Edited 4631d ago )

And I wasn't trying to be a d**k Unholy. I'm just frustrated because I'm a HUGE Forza fan and really confused that this is the route MS/ Turn 10 are taken with the X1 and their license crap all over again.

Forza 5 looks sweet but I can't go backwards. Not after cruising on the rig and setup I currently own for Forza 4 . I'm hoping modders come out with PCB boards that allow pedals and stand alone shifters to work with this 458 wheel.

This TX 458 wheel is the T500 base so I already know how badass it is because I own one. I just need a shifter and clutch or I might as well be playing NFS. ;)

$400 dollars? That's freakin' nutballs! I know that there's a lot better things to do with that money, but I won't be a troll.

Boody-Bandit4631d ago (Edited 4631d ago )

My current Forza 4 wheel, pedals, shifter combo cost $1100. This is actually cheap in comparison but it's not as good as what I currently own so I wont be wasting my money on it. I will wait for MS to have a wheel combo with a clutch pedal and stand alone shifter.

SporadikStyles4631d ago

Please announce something Fanatec! I want an H-shifter and clutch for Forza 5
