PS4 Developer Talks About The GIF That Made Him Famous

Kotaku - Nate Fox feels kind of weird about seeing his face everywhere on the Internet. Wouldn't you?

Fox, a longtime employee of Sucker Punch and the director of the upcoming PlayStation 4 game Infamous: Second Son, achieved a certain level of Internet fame in February, during the big PS4 reveal conference, when he made a funny face and it was caught on camera.

I was going to say that I never saw that GIF before, but then I realized it's a Kotaku article

gaffyh4652d ago

I immediately knew that it would be made into a gif when he came out at the conference with his sad face. LOL, still makes me laugh.

inFAMOUS > all.

ROFL
haven't seen this one before

ohiostatesman4652d ago

The PS4 conference was bad in general in my opinion but at least there were some humorous spots like this one. The guy looked kinda crazy. hehe.

hankmoody4652d ago

Couldn't have said it better myself.

InMyOpinion4652d ago

Ditto and ditto, and ditto again.

mushroomwig4652d ago

It really shouldn't be, considering all the PlayStation news.

Megaton4652d ago

I see that gif at GAF, but it's usually zoomed in on his face.

Acquiescence4652d ago

because he really hammed it up on stage and gave this big dramatic speech, only for it to be followed by a underwhelming trailer for a stock superhero game. He looked like a bit of a goofball as a result. Of course, these days Second Son is the next gen's most promising prospect due to the far superior trailers that followed and some astounding gameplay footage, so everybody looks back on that Playstation Meeting segment with a strange kind of fondness now. And anyone who's been keeping tabs on all the news and interviews about the game since its unveiling knows that Nate is a real stand up guy.

"stock superhero game."

I think that's why you're getting the disagrees. I doubt they read the rest of your comment. Lol. Can't wait for Second Son!

Chaostar4652d ago (Edited 4652d ago )

"stock superhero game"

Sorry no, just no. It's your opinion and all but I just have to disagree and put across that I personally believe inFamous is one of the most underrated franchises of the current generation.

And yes, I read and agree with the rest of your comment :)

sAVAge_bEaST4651d ago (Edited 4651d ago )

The ADD generation, must disagree with you, but I totally agree+.

(I just self medicate, for my ADD- medically..){grew up with Microwaves, and cable. intellivision,and nintendo}

Only Kotaku would find that writing and interviewing about a Gif is more important than writing a story on the game he's making.

That's more than fine. If you keep making one amazing quality game after another, with the low budget you've been utilising for games, then you'll continue to be extremly successful going forward. Don't take on a bigger load than you can handle comfortably.

Also, maybe it's time for a Sly Cooper game. No to Infamous, we've already got superhero games coming form Insomniac. Sorry Infamous fans but I want an open world Sly Cooper game.

Profchaos233d ago

Yotei is pretty incredible but I'd definitely love infamous to return to

Cacabunga232d ago (Edited 232d ago )

Wise decision by a very stupid PlayStation management this gen.
Now let Bend go 1st party too and explore some more Oregon

andy85233d ago

Im baffled how theyve made a game of this quality on this budget when worse games spend 5x that

chrisx233d ago

You're very right. Take a look at assassins creed shadows...GOY blows that game in every single department. The facial animations are leagues above shadows and also the combat and general mechanics. While on a smaller budget

Elda233d ago

I'd rather have a new Infamous game than a Sly Cooper game.

Redemption-64232d ago

Naaaaa, I like sly, but infamous is what they should do if they want to go back

Some studios function better that way.

northpaws233d ago

That's fine, will keep playing Legend 2 until their next game. Can't wait.

S2Killinit232d ago

Whatever they are doing, keep doing it.

Have been watching vids of the game and my wife who doesn't play games, asked me why the baddies as she called them, don't seem to be fighting back much, like they're stood still. The AI is dire and this is yet another showcase game from Sony. Run about and explore with flash graphics. There's just no variety with Sony's games.
